2022-2023 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Prince Aligibe was the leading scorer for Boston College last night, the wrong B. Carlson with the big state line for Utah. Both Madsen twins started for BC and Utah as well.

Thought St. Thomas isn't NCAA Tournament eligible though? What if they win their conference tourney, then Summit gets no one to the dance?
If Tommies win the tournament, the regular season champion gets the auto bid.

Unless, of course, Tommies also won the regular season, then the auto bid would go to the #2 seed.

Bellarmine 2.0? Didn’t they win ASun before they were tournament eligible a couple years ago?

Great game going on ESPN MSU up 2 on #2 Gonzaga with about 5 minutes to play. The Peraton Armed Forces Classic on the USS Abraham Lincoln. Doesn’t seem like the weather has impacted the game too much, which is nice to see. You always worry about condensation on the floor etc. Sounds like it’s just a bit chilly as the sun went down after half.

Terrible last possession for MSU. I don’t get wasting the whole clock for the last shot when you’re down 1.

Great Friday for college basketball. Have had two TVs going all night... 😁

I just watched the St. Thomas - Chicago State game on the free stream on the UST website. I was pretty impressed with #3, the 6-6 Guard, also Lee #13, and the overall team play. 83-61 St. Thomas. St. Thomas has some length, depth, plays defense and does not turn the ball over. I'd rather watch them than Wisconsin.

I did not watch the 60-72 loss to Creighton at Omaha. It was supposedly on FS1, but did not show up on my Youtube recording list.

Temple takes down #16 Villanova
I was watching that one earlier. I started watching it in hopes it was one of the throwback "Big 5" games played in the Palestra in recent years, but it was at the on campus Temple arena. I had heard before that Villanova was not a big fan of any Palestra hosted games.

The lighting was really weird in there, and the upper deck seemed pretty empty when you could see it, but good to hear that Temple pulled it off. I am surprised there was not a louder, larger crowd in there for crack at Villanova.

Di
Kerwin Walton appears to be the 1st man off the bench thus far on 2-0 Texas Tech. He is leading the team in avg minutes played with 24.
1-6 on three pointers, 4-4 on twos and 3-4 on free throws. 14 points total, 8 rebounds, 3 assists.
Didnt know he ended up there. We could use a guard😊

I think the conference regular season champ or the highest finishing team in the standings would go. Think that happened to Ballermine the team that beat Louisville, last year, they won their league but weren't eligible

Some perspective. Louisville loses again to App State and Syracuse currently down 20 to Colgate! For us I think this year will be opposite of last year we will struggle in the non con especially without battle but we will get stronger as the season goes on. Whereas last year we faded!

What’s happening in the ACC?

Michigan St-Kentucky going to a second OT.

I don’t know why Kentucky didn’t foul instead of just letting MSU get a dunk to tie it.
