Illinois has signed Bill Cubit to a 2 year deal. Does a 2 year deal set him up for failure though?
 


Fuente reportedly has deal in place to replace Beamer at VT, expected to keep Foster and Shane Beamer on staff.

If true, this would be one of the bigger coups this off season, and a big breath of fresh air for the Hokies.

Stay away from guys who elevate themselves on the back of elite quarterbacks (Mike MacIntyre, Charlie Strong, etc.).

If he gets Foster to stay, that is huge. I'd be surprised, since he's been promised the head job for years.
 


Pretty safe bet that Mike London will be fired by UVa in the next 48 hours...

Rutgers fans say "good riddance"

Julie Hermann is out as Rutgers' athletic director after a rocky tenure ... and it appears Scarlet Knights die-hards couldn't be happier.

Many of them took to Twitter to celebrate, speculate about what the next steps are for the university and to say the athletic department is a complete mess at this point.

I know he was on the hot-seat about the time we hired Kill, but I thought Richt had rebounded well. I guess in the part of the country where football is a religion, you hire Popes you can fire.

Richt was 9-3 this year and has a record of 145-51 at Georgia. Tough crowd if you get fired with those numbers. Sounds like Kirby Smart finally gets his shot at a HC job.
