2015 Head Coach Vacancies

Illinois has signed Bill Cubit to a 2 year deal. Does a 2 year deal set him up for failure though?

Fuente reportedly has deal in place to replace Beamer at VT, expected to keep Foster and Shane Beamer on staff.

If true, this would be one of the bigger coups this off season, and a big breath of fresh air for the Hokies.

Stay away from guys who elevate themselves on the back of elite quarterbacks (Mike MacIntyre, Charlie Strong, etc.).

If he gets Foster to stay, that is huge. I'd be surprised, since he's been promised the head job for years.

Pretty safe bet that Mike London will be fired by UVa in the next 48 hours...

LSU came their senses and decided to keep Les Miles.

The regular season's second-to-last weekend should mean at least another opening or two, but LSU won't be one. You can keep scrolling for everything, or you can just go straight to the teams already in the coach market.

Here are the teams changing head coaches so far

Illinois hired interim Bill Cubit to replace the fired Tim Beckman
Iowa State reportedly hired Matt Campbell to replace Paul Rhoads

Hawaii hired Nevada OC Nick Rolovich to replace the fired Norm Chow
Maryland fired Randy Edsall
Memphis reportedly lost Justin Fuente to Virginia Tech
Miami fired Al Golden
Missouri's Gary Pinkel will resign
Minnesota hired interim Tracy Claeys to replace the retired Jerry Kill
North Texas fired Dan McCarney
South Carolina's Steve Spurrier resigned
Syracuse fired Scott Shafer
Toledo reportedly lost Matt Campbell to Iowa State
Tulane fired Curtis Johnson
UCF's George O'Leary resigned
ULM fired Todd Berry
USC fired Steve Sarkisian
Virginia announced the departure of Mike London
Virginia Tech reportedly hiring Justin Fuente to replace Frank Beamer
Georgia fired Mark Richt

And here's eeeeeeverything (else) :

Va Tech looks to the future. You need to be able to score points these days. Surprised Bud Foster sticks around. I wonder if he will still be there when all the dust settles with all the coaching changes.

Rutgers fans say "good riddance"

Julie Hermann is out as Rutgers' athletic director after a rocky tenure ... and it appears Scarlet Knights die-hards couldn't be happier.

Many of them took to Twitter to celebrate, speculate about what the next steps are for the university and to say the athletic department is a complete mess at this point.

Here's a quick look at the reaction:

Watch the U hire her.

Georgia fired Mark Richt

I know he was on the hot-seat about the time we hired Kill, but I thought Richt had rebounded well. I guess in the part of the country where football is a religion, you hire Popes you can fire.

Richt was 9-3 this year and has a record of 145-51 at Georgia. Tough crowd if you get fired with those numbers. Sounds like Kirby Smart finally gets his shot at a HC job.
