2 Packs - Interesting Fact

I am a season ticket holder who decided to buy a two pack for a friend as a gift> This was in appreciation for some work that person did for me. When I purchased them the ticket seller had some interesting information on how the sale was going. First, he said that they sold more two packs in the first day and a half this year than they sold all of last year. Second, that there are very few chair back seats available for Ohio homecoming game. The ticket seller theorized to me that was because the Nebraska/Wisconsin fans thought it would easier to sale that non-conference game than the other two. Third, it appears that the Nebraska and Wisconsin games are in much greater demand than the Michigan game.

I know some of you are counting on all kinds of cheap tickets being available. That may be true for some of the games but I doubt that will be true for the Nebraska and Wisconsin games.

I dropped my season tickets and went with the two packs. I had two season tickets. I now have four tickets to the two games I desired most, Wisconsin and Homecoming. I'm on the 50 yard line in the upper deck for Wisconsin. It will be interesting to see how much red makes its way to TCF this year for the WI/NE games.

Depending on what you are looking for there is a lot to say for you approach.

Killjoy, that's a great gift to give someone!! Solid move!

I know three different Nebraska fans that bought the two-packs who bought the Nebraska game and then the TCU or Ohio games, I imagine that is the case for quite a few Nebraska and UW fans. The better games of the two-packs have traditionally sold well in the past. Combine it with the TCU game and a homecoming non-conference game option, and its a great entry point for non-season ticket holders, or those who've done some extra work for Killjoy!

Through the entire season ticket changes, my number one hope is to just fill TCF Bank Stadium with Gopher fans. Teague's number one goal is to maximize revenue (which is understandable). I hope those aren't mutually exclusive. Either way, I can't wait for the season to start!

Go Gophers!!

never thought about the impact the rise in the season ticket prices would have on allowing more visitors to squeeze into the Bank.

this is by far not what the fanbase would like to see. nothing feels good about seeing visitors scattered all over place

so for 2 game packages do they still pay the donation factored 2/7th of the total donation price?

if not then it is kind of odd that visitors can pay less money to get in and overtake the stadium while paying much lower costs.

Of course there was no donation. That's why we purchased those tickets instead. Seat backs, 5 rows up in 2nd deck for $80 a game. I took Ohio (my wife wanted homecoming) and Nebraska. I'd rather have seen Michigan but the other folks coming with have little kids and Halloween wasn't an option.

First time they came to TCF they claimed there'd be 20-25k Badger fans. Second time they came here and to their site and claimed that they'd get 15K at least in there. Bet they were still thinking there were 64,000 seats still in there and Season Tickets where still going for $149. Doubt they had 8,000 in there either time. Don't know what they'll claim this year, but 7-10 thousand still sounds about right even with the tens of thousands of Badger fans within an hour of the stadium.

Can't speak to the other team in Red. They were kind of disgruntled last time, but just ask Notre Dame fans what can happen of those Huskers, with nothing else to do with that money, really want to buy a seat. Oh, and they had only 4,000 alloted tickets!;)
