Made my first treck to TCF Bank from Texas and was shocked at the way the Athletic Department honored the team...seriously you do it during a timeout in the first quarter and you do not even show the members of the team on the videoboard other than showing their backsides. I love the U of M Marching Band, but I would have loved to have seen them honor the team and introduce all the players that came back.

agreed.

It was like, "That was it?" And I didn't see Warmath on the field, even though the PA announcer said he was on the field. Was he there?

Last time they had a big deal for Alums they had a BBQ and the fearless leader Maturi told the group that they weren't good enough, that group included 60-61-67 team members.

I felt the same way -

http://twitter.com/brassbone tweeted that it was originally planned for halftime, and there was some complication that got it moved up. So I'm guessing this wasn't the U's fault???

As long as RBC Wealth Management got to come out for the break between the first and second quarter, I can't see where these complaints are coming from.

That's one thing that really upset me yesterday. 1960 national champions get one timeout (as did national championship dance team). Guy from RBC gets a quarter break. And just about every timeout was a Old Dutch chip clip row-of-the-game-type promotion. Sigh. That's just unacceptable to me. I was with a friend who went to Oklahoma, and he said there's no crap like that there. The band should play during timeouts. Instead we sell them to Chex Mix, Cub, Old Dutch, etc. That's a great way to help build tradition at the new stadium.
