Very bad news on Beal. The worst part of football is practice. This poor kid has been practicing without getting to play for the better part of three years.

Beal, Troy S., Gray, Hawthorne, Cooper, all RBs but Bennett, half the Offensive line; it's not the lack of talent that's killing this team, it's the lack of depth. Has been for years. No Coach since Warmath has been immune. Guys who are third teamers on the Gophers shouldn't be playing for a BCS team, let alone playing 1st String Big Ten players.

Recruiting is a tough job for every lower tier BCS team. Check Mason's best years and you'll probably find years without many major injuries. The "injury" year were the ones that lead to lousy finishes. To turn things around Kill needs to not only recruit 1st line players but get a lot of quality back-ups too.
