Wow that's not a pretty list. I can't believe how long its been since we last won a tourney game. I never thought Steve Lavin's tears after we beat them in San Antonio would represent the start of such a long drought, scandal or no scandal.

Go tubby.

Go tubby.

Agreed, I hope he gets it going. Our previous two coaches didn't win any tourney games and Tubby hasn't yet either. But I agree Go tubby.

Excuses are for Barn Burners.

It's actually more than that, because the Gophers haven't won a Tournament game since 1990.

This is true, unless we count cheating. So there is a lot of blame to go around on this one..not sure the point of the post as we all know there is a drought. Hopefully this ends next year..its about dang time.

no biggie , if one wishes to look at the gophers from a historical perspective than THE SCOUT! submits how many times have more NCAA hoop titles the the Golden Gophs??? Go Gophers

That I don't know, bleeds, but they all give true heights of their players IN shoes.

Oh, how you love to say that.

I don't love the fact that it is true, but I do love reminding people what the real truth is. I don't condone or endorse cheating, which is exactly what is being done by anyone who pretends that the sanctions aren't real.

Yikes. That's sobering. There's been a lot of debate on this board about what amount of success is reasonable for fans to expect, but it's more than reasonable to expect better than this.

Not to pick at a sore, but this does support Reusse's "morass" column. On the other hand, to have written a better piece he would have laid this information out, too. It takes morass to know morass.

Bo Ryan has 16 wins in the NCAA tournament....but those 16 wins pale in comparison to how awesome it would be to have your dog take a crap on your bed. :)

Dog crapping on bed = awesome
Winning NCAA tournament games = not as awesome as dog crap

As staggering as the total list is, I find this part the most sobering: There are 73 schools in the top six leagues other than the Gophers and 67 of them have won a NCAA tournament game more recently.

Every ACC school has
14 of the 16 Big East teams have
Nine of the other 11 Big Ten teams have
Every Big 12 team has
11 of the 12 Pac 12 teams have
11 of the 12 SEC teams have.

That's embarrassing.

The other six losers? Providence, Rutgers, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon State and South Carolina.

Not exactly great company.
