It's an honest question. If you'd been putting up with this dolt's postings for years, you'd assume that he's just functioning with low brainpower. But if he's just a teenager, it could easily be explained away by his lack of life experience and education. For his sake, I hope it's the latter. Since he refuses to respond, I'm assuming it's the former.
 

I agree. With recruiting as low as 118th, yet still winning shows 2 things. Coaching and player development. I'm interested in seeing what he can do with talent.
 

I think most of us are quickly warming up to the hire...with hopes for a bowl next year.

Jerry Kill knows how to *WIN*. Recruiting? The man had NIU at what, 104th Nationally in Recruiting & still was able to win games...it's Northern Illinois people...NORTHERN ILLINOIS. We just had a guy who could recruit but couldn't coach worth a sh*t & we seen how different a team we looked in the last few weeks under someone with experience. Being from Illinois I watch a lot of NIU games...Kill can coach his ass off & I can't wait to see what he can do with Big Ten Level Talent...

i dont like the hire, but it doesnt mean its a bad hire. i hated the brewster hire and warmed up to him and then he failed. im sure i will warm up to kill and hope for the best. i will always support the gophers but i will probably take a step back for now, compared to my usual bleeding of maroon and gold. i think my disappointment with this hire is, maturi saying things like this:

"We're out here to find a Tubby Smith. We're out here to find somebody that people can recognize, people have confidence in, and people are going to bring instant credibility and notoriety to the football program. That is my goal." and then this:

From a Doogie retweet: "Maturi said he regretted making the "Tubby-type" hire proclamation. Says he knew all along they wouldn't get a big name."


i dont know if we offered guys like harbaugh, peterson, etc because maturi may have felt they werent willing to consider us anyways. i dont know if i believe reporters saying we offered so and so and then hear that person say they werent contacted. no one really knows who was and wasnt offered. im just sick of maturi and i cant wait until he is gone.


also-because you live in california and now seem to be hanging out with usc wide receivers and all of the dime peices of cali, im sure now you know exactly what the national perception is. if tubby smith can make it to minnesota im pretty sure anyone could have landed here! just have to be a salesman, something maturi is not!
