We are 1-0
Last year we were 0-1. Already off to a better start.
Our seniors/backbone for the most part played poor. Gray especially played a sub-par game but by no means was atrocious and more importantly led us to KILL's 1st road victory! We won and there is still loads of room for improvement, this is a good day to be a Gopher Fan. Non-Conference and FCS opponents ran the score up on us last year AT HOME. In regulation UNLV could only muster 13 points at home 10 of which came on a short field off of turn overs. We allowed ZERO and I mean ZERO BIG plays. Not one time did a WR or RB get behind the defense. Our QB did come through in the clutch hitting WR/TE's when the game was on the line! There is a lot of positives to build on ladies and gentleman.
Just think of all the penalties and missed opportunities, in the past those would have killed us and we would be bitching about a loss today!
With all the correctable errors and missed plays we still came out with a road victory.
If this doesn't get you jacked up for the Home Opener I don't know what will.
