Troy Aikman is ‘done’ funding NIL: ‘Didn’t even get a thank you’

It's a gift to ... go do the job. If it was truly just an altruistic gift for someone, I think it is bad form to expect something back even then.

Troy Aikman is ‘done’ funding NIL: ‘Didn’t even get a thank you’

These are kids who are athletes ... not a nonprofit. That's an absurd comparison.

    Band Fund - Bowl Game

Did Auburn bring their band to the Outback bowl in 2019? I didn’t think they were there.

Troy Aikman is ‘done’ funding NIL: ‘Didn’t even get a thank you’

Kinda a bad vibe from Troy there IMO. I like my employer, I'm polite to my employer .... I don't send them thank you cards for gracing me with a paycheck .. I do the job, they owe me and we roll on. If you're giving to NIL you're giving money for some athlete to go try to do a thing. They...

I think for bowl games most bands don't travel. I think our band actually has it pretty good compared to other conferences.

    It's time for a change.

Ah got it, different approach. I dunno if the team as a program would survive in good enough shape to make that move. Like say you have a bunch of bad seasons because you're not paying squat, and guys start to bail ... and now you put all your chips on the table? Not sure who wants a part of...

    It's time for a change.

I'm not sure how convincing "we can pay you for ... a year" is to players.

    It's time for a change.

Would like to see a change on the offensive side of things. Been a solid 2 years of ... ehhhhh, and we finished near the bottom of the conference in offense.

Is 2025 when College Bowls Die?

Or maybe have lots of bowls and folks who don't like it ... just watch the ones they like?

Is 2025 when College Bowls Die?

Is this the classic internet "the end is nigh!" And meanwhile I'll be watching bowl games like every year anyhow?

Fleck: I had a player walk in say, it's just business. I said it's not business here. There's a piece of business here, but this is not business.

I'm not sure PJ is fundamentally opposed to players chasing the money. I think he believes it should be more than that, but we've had guys supposedly leave for the money and PJ say good things about them too. Just like a job it's the money, but you can also chase the money to a place where...
