2025 Schedule - two Friday night games

I agree the "can't because logistics" question is not a good argument. Still would play the "already did that, ever year" card.

2025 Schedule - two Friday night games

Oh man sure you can play that card, you play it as "we already play the Thursday game, thanks".

    Leach Eligible for HOF

And it feels like PJ's teams won those games that Glen's teams .... even when close were miles away from winning ... On the other end of the spectrum, I also think for much of Glen's time the non conference teams / lower level teams were SO BAD. These days I think even some cupcake non...

2025 Schedule - two Friday night games

Sadly we live in an age where sports are happy to prioritize TV at the expense of local fans. Such as all those ass 8:30pm and later T-Wolves games ...

They've been traveling to MN less and less each game anyway.

The Athletic: Inside Iowa’s multimillion-dollar moves to end the jokes and start a new era on offense

If you choose to constantly run up the middle ... not sure money changes that.

2025 Schedule - two Friday night games

I loathe Friday games. It should be fun but it is so much more hassle getting to the game and such.

    Leach Eligible for HOF

As a coach Mike's coaching always seemed like "when his system worked it worked" but that's it. He never seemed to be able to balance his system / incorporate other coach's input to make up for the downsides. Granted ... it worked more often than it didn't.

    Leach Eligible for HOF

I enjoyed Mike Leach, but since his death his adoration in the media has almost become meme like, it's weird... it seems strangely impersonal.

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

How many "tiebreakers" even happen? Someone in the organization is going to favor one guy over another almost every time I suspect. People just throwing around terms like "loyalty" for PR, means nothing to those guys if they need to bring a guy from another team on board. And if it wasn't an...

Denver Broncos have a view on transfers

These kinda pseudo moral high grounds teams put themselves on tend to last right up until they desperately need someone. I'm sure none of these brave soles ever changed jobs or anything like that ...

Big Ten Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2025 ("if they win nine games or so, he’ll be on the hunt to move.”)

Some of that seems honest. Some seems like FUD you want recruits to see ... it's the same thing every year.

Summer Splash - Making recruiting waves

Agreed, you get your players recruiting. Also for some of these kids facing first time away from home .... knowing there's some dudes you like might be appealing.

Urban Meyer's bold claim is correct, Big Ten has passed SEC as top-dog conference in college football

In the past he had some good play to play analysis, i liked those but then I didn't see those on BTN anymore ... is he still doing good ones? The only thing I see out of urban now are hot takes.

Urban Meyer's bold claim is correct, Big Ten has passed SEC as top-dog conference in college football

Urban has long since drifted into "talking head who will say anything" him being right is just a matter of the clock stopping at the right spot.

    Farm Aid Concert at Huntington

I wouldn't put it past any show to do bad with audio. But the open nature of the bank or other outdoor college stadiums ... i gotta think makes managing the audio a bit easier than an enclosed stadium. No weird walls / ceilings. Gameday audio isn't the same, but generally at Huntington the...
