    Would you accept a Michigan-level scandal/mess...

Monopolies, oligarchs, and corrupt leadership is the US baseline today. Sad that people think that is the way forward even for our state beacon of higher education.

Is 2025 when College Bowls Die?

Bowl games have been slowly dying for a while. First it was too many so they were watered down. Then stupid sponsor names so you didn’t even know where or why the game existed. Letting 6-6 teams play. Heck, having 5-7 teams get Bowl Games. Rose Bowl losing its purpose. Playoff...

It’s Official; Gophers play New Mexico in Rate Bowl

Bowl selection always feels like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

Notre Dame, you have to be sacrificed for Alabama. No tears shed for the Irish, but yeah the good ol boys still trying to hold on to their power.

    2025 Bowl Projection Tracker

Barf because of the date, too. Too close to Christmas to travel to the game. Try saying hey family I would like to skip Christmas to go to this meaningless bowl game.

Who should be in the 12 team playoffs?

I’ll be wrong, but no way no how should Alabama be in. Get that embarrassed against anybody then that team should have no right to think they should play for the championship.

    Coyle - Discuss

Excellent picture you provide. This is the report card I was envisioning. Give a reasonable grade in hockey though the Men’s team win percentage surprises me it is not higher. Hockey should have high standards in MN and there are less schools to compete against. The Men’s team was minutes...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Lose Back and Forth Game to Northwestern, Fall to 6-5 as Defense Struggles Again

Felt like a Jim Wacker defense. Melted butter puts up more resistance. That new DC is clearly in over his head. And no excuse for the program not to have a serviceable kicker.

Is 6-4 good? In 2025, success needs more context than just win total; "There’s a lot of really good football teams in the country that are 6-4"

Finish 9-4 and that is pretty close to the MN ceiling of late. Give that a golf clap and maybe feel there is guarded excitement for 2026. Anything less is meh to meh minus and be real careful not to buy into the hype going into 2026 until a meaningful victory is won.

B1G Ten Standings - Deeper Look

Not sure what this ‘data’ is trying to show us. A well coached team would have beaten California and not been as embarrassed against OSU, Iowa, and Oregon. And not have left the Rutgers and MSU games up to a coin flip. Do not think that this team has over performed.

What grade would you give the Gophers in the Oregon blowout?

    F. Extra week of prep and they came out stinking from the first drives. Down 14-0 very quickly. It is one thing to lose to a very good team, but to have not even know how to have defenders in the vicinity of a receiver?
