Yes, they had parachutists deliver the flag in the pouring rain. I was sitting in the temporary seats behind the Gopher bench and was directly below where the roof sections meet. It was not a water tight seal and big rain drops were hitting seats all around me for the entire night.

Can't remember if it was a Gopher game or not, but I recall Bill Walsh calling some teams passing attack "primitive." That term does describe some Gopher squads ability to pass. I'm thinking the Gutey years, but it was more than that. Go Gophers!
