I see that Oregon having two wife receivers out for this game has benefitted the Gophers....

I'm sure that you are correct. I know that in baseball the fielder has to make a move common to the game before its a catch.

I hear what the reffing consultant said on TV, gain control of it. But he did not make a "football move" common to the game. IDK what the right call is.

Press Conference Video: Can the Gophers shock Oregon Friday night?

    Ducks Game Weather

Does anyone think that big favorites are less likely to run up the score now that there is a playoff system? IMHO blowout wins are not as rewarded as they might have been in the past when polls played a larger role in determining the national champion/a team's ranking.

    Nebraska QB Broke Fibula

Yep, Forest Gregg telling him who to block. With only 37 players on a team in those days those players were out there unless they were carried off the field.

    Nebraska QB Broke Fibula

I remember stories about Lombardi from Jerry Kramer's book. The players called hm the "Great Healer." I guess that he had no empathy for broken fibulas, "that bone doesn't support weight!" IIRC it was Lionel Aldridge who broke his fibula and Lombardi had him jogging at practice 12 days later...
