All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

It's been 4 games and overall we're a good team. If last season taught me anything it's that home court doesn't really matter in the playoffs. Just stay healthy, be a top 6 in the west, get into the playoffs, and let's party.

problem with that is our bigs seemed to be guarding outside the lane a lot or jumping out to contest shots leaving the rebounding area managed by guards or unmanaged at all

    Has anyone seen Builtbadgers?

I'll echo what others have said...interest in college sports is way down for me. Transfer portal and no divisions in football have given me little interest to do much but tune into some games. Still spend some time looking through stuff in the off topic but pretty ghostly compared to years ago.

They need to make a move in the offseason...Get guys that will be under contract a few years and if they perform well extend them. They're in a unique position where they are setup to be above average in the short term and above average in the long term especially with position players.

All Things 2024 Minnesota Timberwolves Off-Season Thread

as far as regular season goes i don't think i'll continue to care as much moving forward...This team has shown home court means nothing to them. As far as the team goes they need a good second weapon but not sure who you realistically target...it won't be Klay he just resigned.

I'm kind of in the same boat...I don't know the money situation so if they have to trim down contracts that's one thing but as far as the team goes I'm not really sure what you can realistically do to improve. Edwards and Towns just played like shit for 3 games and that is what cost us the...

So Dallas...seems like every time we played them this year they either sat Luka, Kyrie, or both. They've been super hot the last two months. They could run us into the ground. Jaden on Luka and Ant on Kyrie?

Has there ever been a series in any sport that has gone 7 games where the games have all felt so lopsided? I don't remember ever watching one like this.

A little luck would certainly help too. Man the 50/50 balls, long rebounds, 50/50 calls, half court shots, etc. just suck.

Man would be nice if the Lakers could at least extend that series. Not really looking forward to a well rested Denver team on the road assuming we don't sweep our series

With Zion out it looks like Sac vs OKC, Lakers vs Denver, and us vs Phoenix...could easily be 3 upset series

The west is just a fricken gauntlet...yeah it sucks we have to play Phoenix but i wouldn't be jumping for joy having to play anyone else either. Dallas, Sac, NO, Lakers, GS are not exactly easy outs. The Wolves just need to buck up and win a series...there's a reason we're the 3 and they're...

I haven't seen any news on Towns...aren't we nearing the one month timeline when he was going to be re-evaluated?

Looking at remaining schedules I think the Wolves can finish the season ahead of OKC but Denver will be hard to jump.

What would be a targeted haul? We need a PG obviously but have multiple core guys locked up decently long term. Thinking just bench spots? Draft picks?

This is why I don't even care too much about seeding at this point. We won't even know who we will be playing until the last game of the season is done since it's such a mess at 1-3 and 5-8. Yeah, home court is great but against all these teams it will play a minor role for any team in the west.

In all honesty the west is such a loaded mess I don't really know if anyone can be all that happy with any seeding. You get home court but you're going up against an absolute bruiser of a team in any series...I just don't feel safe if I'm any team in any series throughout the whole playoffs...
