Any updates on Minatee injury?

I was expecting to see Gilk today in at least one set. Right now I would rank them Kinney, Gilk and then Crowl.

This is a young team, even some of the upperclassmen have limited experience. I believe Kinney, Gilk and Acevedo will develop into strong OH as they get more experience. Remember we’re talking about 2 freshman and a sophomore.

So many errors that Hanson’s double digit kill streak ended.

Even if Hugh stayed 1or 2 years longer, Choboy would be out the door as soon as he made the decision.

That’s news to me. Interesting? Maybe backup since Z is out for the season. Wasn’t Crowl pretty good at receiving?

I noticed Gilk didn’t play against Lipscomb and Crowl played the third set. I think Cook is holding a competition for the right side with Gilk, Kinney and Crowl. I will admit that I was a supporter of Crowl over the years but I have to agree that I don’t think she has the killer instinct needed...

Garr looked good in her first match at libero.

Offense is much more diversified and it’s nice to see the middle production. Any guesses if we will see Olivia Swenson play this season?

I think Gilk will be the opposite going forward. More efficient and better power than Crowl. More concerned about Z’s injury. Could be a big blow to the team’s aspirations this year if the injury is serious.

Did anyone see the exhibition match? Any takeaways?

She also lost her best player in each of those big ten seasons so we never saw the full potential of her team.

That doesn’t surprise me. She hardly saw any action and she struggled during most of her outings. Did Richardson re-injured herself after her brief appearances?

Any expectations of Carter Raymond next year?

Will KC look to the portal to replace the 2 departures?

Any thoughts on who the gophers will be looking at in the portal?

I think with a new setter and incoming freshman this schedule will allow them to develop without the pressure of facing multiple top 10 teams early on. That said I would like to see one match against a more established tournament team.

I agree about Schwartz, just hoping there are others.

With the players left I don’t see a lot of leadership on the team. Whoever is left and incoming players someone needs to step up and demand more from everyone on the team.

The wait begins. Hopefully we get some good news during the summer.
