When you play the way the Gophers do the margin for error is really small. Couple of turnovers, couple of absolutely horrendous decisions by the two-way player and questionable play calling on both sides of the ball and you end up with a loss.

Gave it a C. Still a chance to win the game until the two-way player made one of the dumbest plays ever. The trick play call in the 1st half was a horrendous call.

And the Gophers are a middling B1G team who are on the same level as Cal.

California isn’t an inferior team. Better QB and better coaching staff.

Great decision to play let’s give up 3 defense.

Hung in there this half which didn’t seem possible. Get the running game going and keep JKS off the field.

That seems problematic since Travis Hunter is Travis Hunter and Koi Perich is not.

What a ridiculous play call to kill the drive.

End the Perich playing on offense experiment.

This teams are pretty even and Cal has a way better QB.

C+ Buffalo D was pretty good but Gophers had a few chances to put them away and didn’t.

Gave it a C. Lindsey was good but a couple of times they didn’t convert in the red zone.

They can work with a FR on catching with his hands. All part of his development as a WR.
