Has this recruiting cycle for Coach Fleck been successful thus far?

You guys are really in the weeds on this one. Other than elite 5 stars it is hard to evaluate 3 &4 stars accurately. To whit, Michigan State made a living recruiting Cincinnati 3 stars. Most played in the big Catholic league with 4 all boys schools. Football Programs with 200-300 boys. These...

Two more years to win the west

Yep, 2 years for the west. USC will be a juggernaut with their current recruiting, transfers, NIL, and competent coach. Hey recruit, come to Minnesota from warm Texas, Florida, or Georgia. The NIL isn’t great and the coeds are cute once you see them out of their puffy coats. The coach is pretty...

The 10 Nicest College Campuses: Ranked By Conference (Big Ten: Minnesota not in top 10)

Purdue? Ugly at best. IU is exponentially nicer. Miami University, Gopher’s last season nemesis puts all of these Big 10 campuses to shame. Quintessential college town.

    Ewers Leaves OSU

Ewers would not row the boat he would require a yacht to pick him up. He was not adept at learning the play book. Nickname in Columbus was Joe Dirt. Could be natural fit for the Dirt Burglars

    Fleck

Fleck isn’t that bad but his game is not working at the Big 10! level. Rowing the boat and superior culture are not winning strategies and are not much more than a gimmick. Ever hear that crap out of Ryan Day’s mouth? For the Gophers to be a consistent contender, they need a major upgrade in...

Fleck: “That was culture over skill.”

Wow, they must some great culture at Bowling Green. If you have ever been to BG Ohio, culture is not the first thing that comes to mind.

The hardest jobs in college football (Other notable P5 vote-getters: Minnesota: They think they can win BTW every year but they’re so far away)

Minnesota is at a terrible disadvantage in recruiting. HS football in Ohio and Pennsylvania is a big deal . Lots of D1 talent in those states. Ohio has 8 D1 football schools including 2 who beat the Gophers this year. The base for teams like Ohio State and Cincinnati is composed of local...

    Miami University tidbits

Miami University is in Oxford Ohio about an hour northwest of downtown Cincinnati. Considered one of the prettiest campuses in the country it has an undergrad enrollment of nearly 20,000. Member of the Mac. Considered the the most selective of the state universities in Ohio for admission. Large...

MN vs “B1G powers that be” game thread…

Not meaning to be a troll but come on. Sad for the injury to Mo. I hope recovers fully. It is time to move on. Minnesota’s best chance to beat the Bucks. A lot of things in the Gophers favor other than 2 bad calls. First time qb, 8 new defensive starters, rain, hostile crowd. This was the big...

MN vs “B1G powers that be” game thread…

Wow guys the game is over. Bad call. It happens at every level. It sucks. Move on. Quit being whiny little bitches and start working on your defense. Speed kills which was the difference in the game not one call.

***OFFICIAL OHIO STATE AT MINNESOTA SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I thought the refs made some bad calls or no calls. OTOH they didn’t make the Gopher defense slower than shit. Let’s hope Mo’s injury isn’t too bad. The Gophers had how many sacks of a first time qb?

***OFFICIAL OHIO STATE AT MINNESOTA SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

On reverse angle replay defender pulling on jersey with left hand to slow Olave up. Gets called every time

***PREDICT THE SCORE VS. OHIO ST.***

Revising my prediction. OSU has 3 starters out. Game a tossup. Previously predicted 2 td victory for OSU

Ohio State starting center OUT for tonight.

He must be a slug. Top 100 player. #1 player out of New Jersey. #2 center prospect in 2020. Scholar Athlete Award winner. Not on Gophers radar as a recruit or Minnesota not on his radar?

tOSU 4th String QB, Ewers, Siged $1.4M NIL Deal!

5 stars that are afraid to compete aren’t going to OSU, Bama, Clemson etc. Those programs thrive on competition within their own teams. I agree that teams like OSU already get top talent. Part of their appeal is that will have national exposure and a reputation for coaching up talent that will...

tOSU 4th String QB, Ewers, Siged $1.4M NIL Deal!

I still think it is bad for college football. Minnesota will be disadvantaged unless some row boat company ponies up some money. 5 Buckeyes have an NIL car deal including Stroud

tOSU 4th String QB, Ewers, Siged $1.4M NIL Deal!

The NiIL stuff will keep OSU on top. That’s the problem. I can hear the pitch now. Hey kid, bring your 5 star talents to OSU and get a 1million$ NIL deal or go to Iowa City and be the spokesman for Teddy’s Big Burgers for 10k/yr.

***PREDICT THE SCORE VS. OHIO ST.***

LeBum- no way. Minneapolis Lakers. George Mikan , all time Laker great .

tOSU 4th String QB, Ewers, Siged $1.4M NIL Deal!

I think the NIL stuff sucks. The top teams will get more of the top players which hurts competition. Competition is what makes college football great. OSU will continue to separate from the rest of the big10. OSU’s primary market is Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland which is huge in total.

***PREDICT THE SCORE VS. OHIO ST.***

Big victories over Auburn and Northwestern. 2 losses in big games. The rest of the games over less than stellar competition. 2020 speaks for itself. Up and down is the definition of inconsistent.
