    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

Groves and Wagner are very similar players. Wagner is an inch or so taller and isn't a ball handler, played inside some at Totino anyway as a jr. Groves is a 2 in college, Wagner a 3, probably. Both are limited with lateral quickness on the defensive end. Not saying their offense and...

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

Fox is 220 and there were times we needed a 240lb player. There is plenty of time for other pieces to be added.

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

BJ was a volume scorer his 2 years at ND and his 4 games at Cal. Low 41% from 2, ugly low from 3-29%, but average from FT line 72%. With his length and athleticism, I would think he could do more on the defensive end then .9 blocks, .8 steals. 23-24 year he did average 16.7 and 4.2 rebounds...

    BJ Omot Commits to Gophers!!!

If he plays the 5, we are in serious trouble. He was listed at 6-8 185 at CAL. Even with a year off to put on weight I doubt he is much over 200.

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

When I watched Cherry in the sectional final, I was told by someone who knows Isaac's parents that he got $200k NIL last year. If a college offered him $700k he would have left. I am guessing the gophers at least doubled his NIL to keep him. Other tidbits, his younger brother Noah, probably...

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

I got the number from the father of a Sr student manager. So could they be upset at losing players to schools that can play more. Is it possbile its $600k to $800k, and they are using the higher number to show that CSU cant pay that, sure.

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

I don't believe Grove has the defensive quickness to play the 4. I think he will be a 5, one that can stretch the floor on offense. What I saw of Grove, he is a bench player on a good team.

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

If the team has $6 million, all conjecture, you could assume $500k to $1 million per starter, so say its $750k each of the 5 starters. You would have 2.25 million for your bench?

For a sophmore on a tourney team, maybe the going rate?

    Jaylen Crocker-Johnson to MN!

I know people at CSU, Crocker-Johnson is getting $800k, Evans already has 2 Nil offers over a Million each. Mbemba is undecided so far.

    Niko’s roster construction

Frank Mitchell was a better player than Fox, in the second half of big ten play. He also paired better with Garcia, as he is a physical player, while Garcia and Fox are finesse types. He deserved some starts, while the high motor Fox could come off the bench. Asuma deserved to start/play...

    all tourney Minnesotan team

For the most part, teams that were successful pre-NIL, are the same teams that are successful today, and into the future. Has NIL allowed poaching of mid major stars quicker than ever ...possibly, hopefully this tournament is an outlier on the lack of upsets, versus it being the new normal...

    all tourney Minnesotan team

You havent watched basketball if you think the 6-10 McAndrews can guard a sf. Tschetter has been a bust at Michigan. Seems like many people want to put the tallest lineup they can find, when basketball has gone to smaller quicker lineups. My team: Holloman Walton Hadley Winter Payne Bench...

Curtis Jones, pre-Gilbert injury, was a high scoring and nationally known 6th man for Iowa State.

    Kyan Evans

If someone dominated in the Mtn West they would be at least better than average in the bigten. Evans was a nice player, great shooter. I'm not sure where the decade hyperbole came from? He was the 3rd best wing on CSU! Being 6-2 180, He needs a bigger lead guard like Assuma, Evans can guard...

***OFFICIAL NIKO MEDVED OPENING PRESS CONFERENCE THREAD!!!***

As a Gopher fan, living in Colorado, I have seen a consistent winner at CSU. Medved's teams are disciplined, with consistent shooting at 2's, 3's and free throws. They don't turn it over (11 or less). They seem to overachieve compared to the talent level. He rebuilds quick after losing many...
