Predict the Score Thread: Michigan State at Minnesota

I really hope I'm wrong. But the scars of 45+ years of being a Gophs fan run deep. MSU 23 Gophs 15 MSU is not as bad as people think and the Gophers are ripe for an emotional let down. We have ALL seen this movie before. The fact our two best RB will be gimpy at best adds to the concern.

PMac: Fleck — no hyperbole — is one of the worst in-game Power-5 coaches in the country. He can recruit & market a program. But in-game hes a disaster

I am a big (or was) fan of Fleck. I love what he has done for this program giving it some stability and respect nationally compared to prior coaches. I also like him as a person and think he is good for the kids as people as well as athletics. But there is absolutely no denying that he...

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over Nebraska?

The Negatives: Stop going for 54+ yard FG's when your defense is playing great. Fleck continues to do this every year and is not learning his lesson. This is incredibly concerning and frustrating. How many times did we run the ball on 2nd and 10. It became as predictable as death and...

Fleck and players with BTN network

The fact that one desperate "journalist" can publish stories like this is sickening. Kudo's to coach Fleck for handling it in the best way possible. It's just a shame that he has to deal with it and more of a shame that the traditional media sources are even covering the story and giving it...

Anonymous Players and Staff make unsubstantiated allegations

Modern day journalism/media summed up perfectly here. Unverified and unnamed sources spewing negativity towards a popular product/person. All because there are too many journalists compared to jobs. These people need to be dealt with sternly.

More people in the US watched last year's Minnesota-Syracuse Pinstripe Bowl than the clinching game of the Stanley Cup

Hockey needs to get back to what made it fun up to about 15 years ago. And I am sure you can probably guess what I think that is..................

Would you rather be 7-5 with an IA win or 8-4 with an IA loss?

I will always take the Dubs and the shot at a better bowl. I hate losing to ANY Big 1G team so the Iowa deal doesn't trigger me as much as it may others.

And to date, there are $161,699,486 reasons why this is completely accurate.

    10 game conference schedule?

I am against this. I do like the non-conference games with the diversity in opponents we see. I personally preferred the 8 game conference schedule TBH although I know that may not be popular here. For the Gopher program, more non-conference games is ideal.

Gophers open as (+3) underdogs at Wisconsin

I sincerely hope your right. I really do. But I've seen this movie before as have you. Blind faith is a good thing and I wish I possessed it. You are forgetting the Fleck factor. And I was a huge fan of his but I simply cannot overlook the brutal game day decisions. They are glaring.

Predict the Score Thread: Minnesota at wisconsin

Wisconsin 24, Minnesota 15 Fleck does not win these games. That loss last week is going to affect the team. Period. What a dissapointing season.
  13. Five for fighting

Gophers open as (+3) underdogs at Wisconsin

Guaranteed loss. The loss last week is the type that stings for a player and carries over to the next week. The loss of any hope of a marquis bowl game and now going into Camp Randall. Yeah, this could actually get ugly. Minnesota does not win games that matter and I have completely lost...

Predict the Score Thread: Iowa at Minnesota

Iowa is going to win 20-13. Iowa owns PJ and actually has played better lately. And yes, I hope I am wrong.

SOUND OFF!!! Post Game Thread!! Gophers Dominate 2nd Half, Beat Huskers Again!

I love PJ Fleck but the game management in the last 6 minutes was criminal. This is a glaring weak spot for him. I advised last year, tongue in cheek, that he hire a "game day" consultant to handle clock management and what to do during crucial game times. I am no longer "tongue in cheek"...

    I watched 0 plays—explain the game in 3 sentences

The Gophers did not get off the bus until late in the 2nd Quarter. There is no going back to Tanner as AK was an absolute upgrade. Mo Ibrahim is the smartest RB I have seen wear a Gophers uniform.

    3 game losing streak

Brutal loss for the program. This program refuses to ever let itself take the next step.

Poll: What grade would you give the Gophers coaching staff in the loss to Purdue?

This team was not ready to play. Evident on the very first series. However, if Brown-Stephens catches that easy TD pass and Tricket does not miss the chip shot FG, the game is a different outcome. So can't put it ALL on the coaches. But still give them a D for not having the team ready and...

Predict the Score Thread: New Mexico St at Minnesota

Clearly reading isn't your strong point. I still predicted them to win. Most of these non conference games have had scores much closer than one would expect. Fleck has a far different approach than Mason who used to run up the scores. I am glad I was wrong here with my prediction.
