All Things Gophers Basketball Class of 2022 Recruiting Thread

Alright, those more in the loop than the rest of us please decode the remaining 2022 MN prospects. Aligbe is third highest rated on 247 but there is no chatter there. Payne and Carrington not top 10 in state but I love the Payne pick up. Also remember when Kendall Blue was the next Rashad...

All Things Gophers Basketball Class of 2022 Recruiting Thread

He missed on a stud. This is the new reality, the intensity of the wrath when missing a MN kid went up 1000 with Coach J. In this case there was a strong family tie with ISU’s new coach, understandable. If he doesn’t get Holloman Gopherhole will go nuclear...

    Roster Projections

Yes. I don’t buy Willis at the PG. Everyone says it was because he got hurt but to me his game is more like Gabe’s than a PG.

    Roster Projections

Here’s my projection 4/19/21: PG: Loewe/Stephens SG: McNeilly/Gach/Willis SF: Miller/Ihnen/Sutherlin PF: Johnson/Fox/Battle C: Rebraca/Thompson Positives: -many small lineup combinations -experienced depth not an issue -Miller and Rebraca 1st-3rd BIG Team potential next year -much more...

Here's the issue: Since 2014 there have been 17 MN-born 4-star recruits, Gophers signed 3 of them

Yes he will, he was responsible for Coffey and Oturu, in spite of Dickie P. Have to believe this is what Coyle was looking at. Fundamentally the MN basketball community felt Richard was entitled and there was never a connection there.

Cashius McNeilly & Emanuel Miller (Texas A&M) both in the portal

Got depressed with all the haters in the Chet thread. Time for some optimism. Landing McNeilly might end up being a huge benefit with Canadian talent. Also, Carr knows all these guys and hooped with them all offseason prior to this year. Article below about transfers A&M grabbed due to...

    Gabe to Iowa State

What’s the over/under on the frequency the negative media (newspaper, TV, Gooherhole, social media, etc) is used to negative recruit against the U for local talent? It says a lot that a likely team captain, who has the potential to reunite with coaches he respects and trusts, decides to...

All Things Chet Holmgren Recruitment Thread (Class of 2021, Gophers Have Offered)

I thought of Humph’s and that season a lot this year because of Carr. And more specifically the lack of accountability from the head coach. Carr would take bad shots and be extremely lazy on D for extended periods of time. You can’t let your best player do that as HC. Their job is to...

    Where’s McNeilly?

Anyone have inside intel? The paranoid MN sports fan in me can’t help but think the worst based on the radio silence

Jamie McNeilly and Jason Kemp have me very excited after reading about them and watching videos. Dave Thorson is OK and at least seasoned. Would have loved Nuness over Kemp or Thorson but overall happy.

Official 2022 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Rumors

You need to get real. 2019 was the best year of Gopher football in my 36 years of existence. Every year (even last year), the team got better as the season went on. He is also consistently getting higher end talent at skill positions which has also never happened here at this rate since I...

Two names, Kendall Brown and Dain Dainja. Nuness is a good recruiter with strong MN ties. Like it or not if their direction is really to go all in on MN talent it’s a good hire. I go back and forth. We certainly have enough high end talent in state to be nationally relevant and the only...
