Illinois 31 Gophers 17 BB stops our short passing game and our running game isn’t successful with no blocking up front.

I’ve been there 3 times. Late fall there are always swirling winds because of the way the athletic complex is in relation to the field. Sorry, I won’t be going.

If you have never been to Illinois for a game, realize the swirling winds will affect the passing game. For certain we will have to run the ball to win. Which means we have to win the battle up front.

A for game plan. C- for OL coach. Until #77 is sitting on the bench, I will continue to be critical. Max is lucky to be standing on two legs after our right tackle whiffed on several plays. And that’s not taking into account his poor effort on run blocking.

Absolutely I disagree. Loved the win. BUT we sure as hell didn’t win it because our OL showed any improvement. We won it because Taylor is a stud and made up for missed blocks by sure determination. Really excited for his effort. And of course our QB played lights out. Wow! great victory...

I saw the ‘68 long grass game. Unfortunately no such luck today with turf. Maybe we can insert some “turf monsters” to trip up their receivers.

He has enough on his plate. Being a Freshman just trying to find his way around campus. Doesn’t need more football schemes. Plus who would he replace on offense? Playing more won’t keep him as a Gopher - at least for the first year.
