I wonder who referees the games? I could see it getting pretty intense and where you really might need refs. Even pickup noon ball gets a bit too intense sometimes and the stakes and pride are definitely higher here...

I think this is true but perhaps less so than states and/or towns that have no professional teams. It still stands that sports professionalism is the pinnacle of the average sports fan fandom. Not true for me and not true for many on here but overall. Winning can change this vs non winning...

To a certain extent this is true but there were plenty of open 3's that were good shots to take and they were missed. I think the inside shooting percentage was most affected by the defense and probably the frustration of that may have affected the 3s too.
