I believe that everything starts with the o-line. If you can pass protect and run block, then you can do most anything provided you have average or above average qb, wide receivers and rb's. Don't need great, though that obviously would be a bonus. We have 1 great in JJ. Vikes became 1...

Not sure how it plays into this but you can't transfer into a school mid-semester (academically).

Though Robinson was an issue in the last 2 games, so was the IOL by allowing inside pressure and penetration. I think the lack of running game inside the 10 is an even bigger indictment of their ability. Need 1 or 2 road graders inside so teams can't play us for just the pass close to the goal line.

The NFL is strictly entertainment. Like WWE.

Just complicates the rules and adds subjectivity to whether or not qb was actually being sacked, about to be sacked or wriggling out of a sack. I have no problem with what Stafford did being a pass, just need to tighten rules on "in the area" to negate intentional grounding.

Not sure thar works either. Are saying that if a running back or WR drops a perfect pass behind the line of scrimmage, the ball is marked where QB threw it? It would be the end of screens.

Wondering if anyone knows what Iowa State's NIL is? Haven't heard of any BIG donors there but might be wrong. If they are doing what they are doing without a lot of NIL money, I'll feel even worse about our current state.

I still say keep Jones and spend money and the few draft picks on the lines and DB. I would like to see a super quick small back like KC seems to always deploy. Maybe you can find one as a UDFA.

Watched "What the hell happened to Blood, Sweat & Tears" last night on Prime. A good watch and learned stuff I never knew about their tour behind the Iron Curtin sponsored by US State Department. Very interesting. You should watch if you ever enjoyed their music.

I don't think Jones was among our major problems. He's ok. Replace 2 of 3 interior offensive linemen, add a couple DB's so we can play man and maybe an interior defensive run stopper and let's go. Getting Darrisaw back will help. If you can find an upgrade at RB in free agency without breaking...

Frick. JJ was wide open on that wide receiver screen. What the hell was Darnold looking at.

Has anyone actually heard how much Miami is paying him? Maybe I missed it. Guessing it's in the $1.8 range but just a guess.

Minnesota’s Corey Hetherman new defensive coordinator at Miami

I think that's a great question and to be determined. I think that the fans of the "haves" will continue to support their teams as everyone loves to support a winner but think it's going to get more and more difficult for the "have nots" as fans begin to see and feel little hope for success.

Listen, I usually like your posts but think you are missing the mark on this. Fleck can beg and plead all he wants, he can even stomp his feet and hold his breath till he's blue in the face, but if the Regents say this is all you get (because of course it's the U of M and sports are a low...
