    Utah to B1G?

I think the big ten is likely to only make an exception for very few universities Arizona and ASU are both AAU still but expansion to me is about new territory + solid football major football but great hoops. Places that fit the bill in no order (west to east kind of) Stanford Cal Utah...

    Utah to B1G?

Nebraska isn’t AAU I think it could be justified in other ways The big ten is different from other leagues which, in my opinion, makes the big ten poaching from the SEC more likely than the other way around. There are more dollars than just sports dollars. Maybe FSU, Miami, TCU and GT end up...

    Utah to B1G?

teams to go after before them include: Arizona state or Arizona Colorado Texas a&m (long shot) Missouri (long shot) Notre dame Florida State Miami North Carolina Virginia yes. With the exception of Notre Dame or poaching an SEC school, the next expansion is probably about quantity not quality...

Yup. Would be awesome if they took final 16 Had all the 1s seeded 1-8 Had all the 2s seeded 9-16 Maybe by QRF because there isn’t much crossover?

Might be a good compromise in classes 9 man to 5a that does a good thing but doesn’t substantially impact travel for many teams (8 teams in each class would have one extra long road trip)

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

I still don’t know how they’d be vulnerable They never accused him of any wrongdoing directly He has no defamation case. He may get the full buyout plus legal fees due to a difference of opinion. I can’t find a single thing anywhere where northwestern says anything Fitzgerald did that would be...

I’m not sure what you hire him as? DC? If the lawsuit is cleared up he might be a dark horse for next Iowa or Wisconsin HC

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

I feel like this ups the odds of an undisclosed settlement I am going to guess it’s between 0-72 million (his buyout plus legal fees is 68+ I think) i still think he ends up settling for slightly less than the full buyout + legal fees

Gophers 2025 Schedule Announced - how many wins do you predict?

That’s pretty rare these days The gophers have finished the regular season 6-6 once since the league went to 9 games

Would be interesting to see data on that. But normalized for seeding it would be hard to have data The biggest deal is losing a key guy at a key spot 3 games = 3 chances for a major injury 4 games = 33% more opportunities to lose a key guy

Yup And then you pick the number in each class (probably 32) and fill in the rest with under .500 teams If we stay with this many classes. Perhaps the playoff number is 24 not 32
