    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

I disagree. Brewster looked lost because it was his first time being a head coach at this level. As a result, he had no list of names he could immediately call up and fill out a coaching staff with experienced people where he had a prior relationship in a similar capacity. What Fleck has is...

How do you cope with Gopher disappointment? I broaden my view to the wider B1G. You?

For me, I also follow USC. So, as long as both programs are not terrible in the same week / year, it is quite easy to not get too down on things. Also, if you watch higher level program, you come into the Gopher game realizing how far away we are from ever competing at that level. Take USC...

    Fleck has lost his hunger/edge

PJ Fleck is simply Tim Brewster with a better support staff. PJ is all rah-rah to inspire the team and convince recruits to come here (this has not been successful) but when you are 7 years in and the team is rebuilding AGAIN - it loses its luster. PJ was never a play caller or inventive...

On the plus side, UNC fans are the nicest ever

Keep this in mind for the next era of re-alignment when we snag UNC and Stanford. UNC is a fine university that I would love to have in the B1G.

Hickey: 1 thing I learned about every Big Ten team in Week 3 (Minnesota: Athan Kaliakmanis is definitely a Minnesota QB)

I am usually hard on the Gophers because I want to see success - but ragging on AK is not very fair in my opinion. I said this heading into the year - he is a 'first year QB' - yeah, I know he played last year - but this is his first year as the sole starter and the team is materially worse...

Most cost effective way to watch Gopher Football at home.

I live in Vietnam so a lot of services are geo locked even if I want to pay for it. So, my last resort is usually firstsrows.net - but, if it detects a US address, it probably limits the things you can stream. You also have the BS with pop ups and random freezing so you need to reload and go...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Defeat Eastern Michigan and Improve to 2-0!!

2nd Half defense was some of the best I have ever seen from the Gophers. Amazing. If the O can run like today, we have something pretty good moving forward.

What grade would you give Gophers coaches in win over Nebraska?

I gave a C because of the pretty lackluster playcalling. The one exception being the run call prior to the game winning kick. I was expecting a 5 yard out route or something and they took a bigger gamble and it paid off. The big question for me after the game - do we have a skill gap at...

***OFFICIAL NEBRASKA AT MINNESOTA SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

    I hope that 3rd & 10 was a blown screen pass attempt....

***OFFICIAL NEBRASKA AT MINNESOTA SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

How on earth do they not have more plays to get the ball to the TE - who is by far their best player on O. I don't think they will be able to run unless they can stretch the field and that is not going to happen if they throw 6 yards passes every time.

Will our New PAC12 Additions be in for a Rude Awakening on Defense in 2024?

USC will be fine adopting to B1G. This is only year 2 under their coach and even with the new transfer rules, it takes awhile to build up your program. I think USC should actually be pretty dominant this year in the PAC but will come back done to earth a bit with Williams leaves. However, I...

Would you be happy if we finished at 7-5 this year?

Our chance to really break out and shine was last year - we blew it. Now, we are rebuilding - albeit with less of a drop off than in years past. Last year, the card aligned in terms of schedule as well as strength of our conference overall. This year, we likely have a resurgent WI and we are...

Breaking from the Athletic: Big 10 to invite Washington and Oregon

If the B10 expands to 20 teams and we take Cal over ND because ND rejects joining, there should be an informal agreement among all B10 schools to not schedule ND football as a non-conference game. End their games vs. USC, Stanford, Michigan, etc - don't continue to allow them to cash in on...

Deion Sanders’ roster redo at Colorado could change college football

I honestly don't think this is a bad strategy - let's face facts, the term 'Student Athlete' has lost all meaning now with NIL, lax drug testing, etc. It has been replaced with "Just don't embarrass the program" So, with Prime: I think the basic premise is that a grad transfer (22/23 year old...

    Tanner’s NFL Journey

The problem for Morgan is that his best year is already 4 years into the past now - and with the volume of work, it is pretty obvious our WR core had way more to do with that than Morgan. I don't think Morgan is renowned for his arm strength and he does not have giant size or great speed...

    the buffaloes are stampeding

I don't think this ends will for Coach Prime. In high school and lower college ball, talent can put your team over the top. In upper D1, it is about coaching and development and I think a lot of his players will skip town before the coaching and development catch up with the talent.

Rumor is circulating that the NCAA is about to grant Tanner Morgan another year of eligibility

Eli Manning dressed at Chad Powers actually looked younger than Morgan.

Adam Breneman: Brevyn Spann-Ford is my favorite player returning to college football. He's the most NFL ready tight end set to play CFB this year.

I don't know if it is due to his size or what but he always looks like he is almost moving in slow motion to me. Clearly he is not given his production - but it just seems odd to me.

    Tanner Morgan appreciation thread

If AK has a longer term injury, can he still petition for a 20th season? Was nice knowing the QB would be competent/capable coming off the bench - most programs don't have that. 2019 was magical.
