Poll: Gophers record at the end of Big Ten play

Yeah the safe bet to me is 10-2 with the 2 losses coming from 1 of penn state/msu, and the other from Iowa/wisconsin. Although I really don’t see a loss on the schedule.

***OFFICIAL WESTERN ILLINOIS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Tanner threw for more yards in the first half than he did in an entire game last year. I’m so happy to have KC back calling plays. This is gonna be a fun season.

Northwestern getting SMACKED right now. Ugly.

***OFFICIAL WESTERN ILLINOIS AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Agreed, but honestly right now I'm more encouraged by the play call and the willingness to throw deep than I am concerned about the throw. Tanner has looked good overall, keep taking those shots and he'll hit some of them.

Good drive, but anyone else surprised by the Western Illinois D line? They're definitely giving our guys some trouble, getting some pressure on Tanner and making Mo work for every yard.

Would like to see trey potts mixed in a little more earlier, Mo's gotta get his touches but think it's good to get the change of pace and keep everyone fresh.

Good to see how our D can respond. Never good to fumble, but if we're treating this game as a chance to tune up before the rest of the year, guess it's good to put the D in a quick change situation.

Gophers running backs Mohamed Ibrahim, Trey Potts have workloads managed in opener by P.J. Fleck

Yes, this is making the assumption that he’s the number 2 back due to injury, because this is literally responding to YOUR post that says “if you wait and there are injuries, he could end up being the number 2 back in November”.

Gophers running backs Mohamed Ibrahim, Trey Potts have workloads managed in opener by P.J. Fleck

I think that if you reach the point in November where he’s the number 2 back, I’d rather not have his first ever collegiate carries come in a big moment against Iowa or something. If he has to play in more than 2 big ten games I’m less concerned with the redshirt than making sure he’s ready.

Yeah, would really like to see Evans get a couple carries in the next 2 games, see what he can do.

Post Game Thread - Gophers Crush Aggies

I loved seeing the throw from Morgan to CrAB that was ruled out of bounds. Put it up high, only his guy had a chance at getting it, and gave CrAB a chance to go make a play. He’ll come down with those throughout the year, and I really liked seeing the confidence from Morgan in his guys.

We’re also pretty consistent with our special teams mentality. Having kesich boot it out of the back of the end zone every time rather than trying to hit a high kick so we can pin them inside the 25 is definitely about reducing the possibility of things going wrong. Don’t have the necessarily...

Potts is a very good running back, but Mo just looks SO much better than him. He's really something special.

All Things 2023 Gophers Basketball Recruiting Thread

I agree with those that responded to me that Ben should take 3 in the 2023 class if he can get Chatman and winter and figure it out later. Curious though how the current players feel about that. Must feel at least a little weird to have your coach send the signal that “one of you who could be...

Gonna be interesting to see how Ben approaches the rest of the 2023 class. With only 2 guaranteed spots for next year, does he take someone like Winter? Or do you hold out for Chatman? Do you take 3 and assume someone leaves?
