So....to summarize: we don't have very good basketball players.

There is no "Magic Johnson" point guard walking into the Gopher hoops future. And as many have pointed out that our best freshman, Payne, should start....our coach disagrees. Not putting any faith in that guy recruiting a clueless point guard to help right the ship and sail us to the promised land.

I've actually enjoyed reading Spaulding's short zingers this year far more than any Gophers basketball games. Far more entertaining! I just skip the games and read the meltdowns. Bonus for doing so; I have saved tons on mental/emotional therapy fees!

Watching the Tenn vs Clemson Orange Bowl and the SEC commercial is telling me that, "it just means more!" But, a 1-4 bowl record so far suggests..."it doesn't."

Agreed. Just feel we should have had more of those type of opportunities.

The unwritten part of this is due to the fact the Gophers are frequently passed over for better bowls. There is no doubt though, Fleck is great at game planning with extra time to prepare.

Powell was "coached up", but the player has to be able and willing to take the coaching and put it into action. Powell didn't do that at Minnesota and she isn't doing it at Tennessee, hence why she is seeing her playing time/role decrease.
