If we can actually run the ball, and limit them to under 5 yards per carry, we have a shot! Their passing game isn't great. They have a great defense and can get after the QB. If we can't run, there is no play action, and Brosmer could get killed. A defensive/special teams td wouldn't hurt...

Max is good enough that now we pass to set up the run! Think how few times in our history we could pass when we are forced too by an average run game, many previous QB’s here passed well off of play action or they didn’t pass well.

M Maybe? B1G doesn’t have any top 10 teams now, but 3 of the 4 teams added should be very solid: OR, USC, and esp UCLA. Probably no on Washington.

If they finish close to .500 in conf, they’d likely make the tourney. Unless becaus of early injuries we lose some of the easiest non conf games on record, then improve??

We lost 1 starter at Center Nathan Boe. The rest are returning starters. Has the system drastically changed ? We went from being one of the best rushing teams in all of college, to one of the worst in the b1g?

The team that can’t run the ball, nor stop the run, loses the game. Also it’s inevitable a qb without a running game is forced to throw and will likely have more picks. How many o line guys did we lose from last year? I never suspected we wouldn’t be able to run vs a decent team!

Couldn’t you put 3-300lb guys in the middle and play your biggest ends?

I would have switched to 5 Defensive lineman and 4lb. Why play safeties against a team that can’t pass to a wr.? Have to try something. NFL loaded the box with big boys against Tebow? Seemed to be worth a shot.?
