It must suck being a Nebraska fan right now

Omaha is a fun city and larger than Minneapolis. I’ve had a great time there on Gopher road game weekends.

Eastern is already 280 lbs. It’s unlikely that he ever takes a practice snap at DE.

Didn’t the Totino Grace QB get benched this year due to too many interceptions, weak arm strength and poor accuracy?

    Our OC sucks

I’m still waiting to see if SomeDay is going to return to this thread. Not as a gotcha moment, I’m just generally interested at what point in the game yesterday could someone have been so dismayed by our offensive play calling.

    Our OC sucks

I just looked at Pat Friermuth’s stats for the year: 23 catches for 310 yards and 1 TD through 8 games. Last year he was at 43/507/7. So he’s getting fewer targets than last year with Ciarocca, but still significantly more than our TEs got under Kirk.

    Sori Marin and Wiley

I still think Cam was born to play safety, but he definitely had a few nice runs.

    Sori Marin and Wiley

MSM had 18 tackles and played a great game. Awesome to see his improvement over the last few games.

    Our OC sucks

And I should add, the I heart TEs crowd should be reveling tonight after BSF’s TD.

    Our OC sucks

If Mo didn’t slide at the end, we would have scored 31 points in a B1G game. And without Bateman, 2 o-linemen and 3 TEs. And I think we had almost 400 total yards and no turnovers. What’s the problem? Do you want Nebraska’s OC?

***OFFICIAL NORTH DAKOTA (FORMERLY SIOUX) AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD***

You have some interesting takes that I can’t quite get my head around. You find ways to pot shot PJ and the football team while sticking up for Richard and telling us he knows more than the board. Despite the fact that PJ’s had infinitely more success after 4 years than Richard has had in 7...

Freshman WR Marcus Fleming is no longer on the Nebraska football team

And why did we start a thread on a random WR from Nebraska leaving their program?

Maybe every kid is different and some like big cities and some like smaller college towns. Just a thought.

Did you watch our defense this year? We need starting caliber players all over the defense, not back-ups. The expectation for any grad transfer should be that they have a strong chance to be a starter.

This has nothing to do with a kid wanting to get away. Ratzlaff was committed to the U for hockey for the past 2 years. If he had been drafted in the NHL, he would be playing hockey for the Gophers next year. Since he wasn’t, he’ll be playing football for the Badgers. This is clearly a case of a...

    Gopher Sports and Expectations

Good post as usual from EG9 - one of the best on here. It’s an interesting recap throughout recent history. I would argue that we had significant expectations, at least from our fan base, for last year’s football team and we met them.We were coming off a 7-6 season where we finished strong by...

Defensive Attrition By Class / Position 2016-2020

Fleck had 30 days to assemble the 2017 class, so it’s not that surprising that a lot of those guys didn’t pan out. 2018 is a different story and it’s easy to look at that class right now and see why we’re struggling. Hopefully it’s an anomaly. The good news is the staff believes 2020 was the...
