PSU going to send numbers on D until the Gophs prove they can beat it. A weakness this year.

GD, it feels like Geers has dropped a billion passes this year.

I think that 4th and 1 play just answered your question. Going for style points.

I get it, but the Hoosiers will have an 0-1 record against top 30 teams in Sagarin. That's a weak resume. BYU, SMU and Colorado all might have a better SOS with one loss going into conference championship week.

Could the Hoosiers be playing themselves out of the CFP with a thorough ass kicking against the only ranked opponent they'll see this year?

Yeah, Rourke picked apart the D on the first drive with no stunts/blitzes coming at him. It's been a totally different game since then.

I've wondered the same. They get decent recruits but always end up sucking.

I meant the 3rd down spot leading to 4th down. He was maybe one or two feet short but the refs brought it way back at least a yard.

Buckeye's got screwed on the 4th down spot. Indy with great goal line D. I was a doubter, but these guys look legit.

Indiana's offensive line is good. So far. OSU will need to start sending numbers if they don't get some pressure.

Michigan just paid $12 million for their new 5* QB, flips him from LSU

Michigan is a bit desperate. None of the QBs they fielded this year are special. They recruited a high 4-star QB this year as freshman, but he must not be the answer. Some of Michigan's problem is they graduated much of their great offensive line last year, but still. I suppose this situation...

    Congratulations Oregon

That's a mind twister. I think that scenario would come down to tie-breaker #2. Oregon beat the Buckeyes while Indiana and PSU lost to them. Tiebreaker Order: Head-to-head matchups Record against common conference opponents, in order of conference record Record against common opponents with...

I don't think D2 gives auto bids to every conference....but I'm too lazy to look it up. In the end, bitching about playoff selections is great entertainment.

Right after the brackets were released, I saw some bewilderment online on why Bethel would be traveling to Coe. Now we know. At least the NCAA fessed up right away and corrected it.

    Darnold /Cousins 2024 comparison

I'm surprised Darnold's QBR isn't significantly higher as he's much more mobile. The turnovers must be pulling him down. edit: never mind. I thought you were referencing ESPN's QBR instead of passer rating.

To the bolded, they don't handle the people issue. It's a total clusterF trying to get anywhere before and after Viking games. Additionally, the men's bathrooms in the non-beautiful people seats traditionally line up a mile long anytime during the game.

FCS does a 24-team bracket with 10 auto bids. FBS could absolutely do it if they didn't mind watering down bowl games even more. At this point, the non-playoff bowls are already watered down so much I wouldn't be surprised if the playoffs get expanded beyond 12 if it ends up working out.
