    Brandon Johnson Commits

I wouldn't harp on that too much these days. Ohio State will be starting a 6'6 and 6'8 frontcourt pair next year and are still a top 15 team on paper.

All Things Class of 2020 Recruiting Thread

Has this program taken a step in the right direction this offseason? Absolutely. But this is still a team that needs all the talent (and shooting) it can get, and likely still a piece away from being really solid team even if Robbins is eligible. Adding Kerwin is still important for this...

I'd like to see this as well. This lineup is only possible if Ihnen has a strong developmental offseason. This means no lapses in defensive awareness, an added handle/dribble drive, and more strength to finish at the rim and among traffic.

I'd refrain from comparing every player out there with current/former gophers like you've been doing lately. Brandon is a completely different player than the two Gophers you have mentioned. The Robbins / Matz reference was also very aggressive and off-base as Robbins has about 30-40 lbs more...

All Things Kerwin Walton Recruitment Thread (Class of 2020)

How can you comfortably say that he wouldn't. If this year's team had Tyrell Terry I guarantee they'd be comfortably dancing if COVID-19 didn't cut the season short. Not unreasonable to think Kerwin couldn't have a similar impact next year for whatever team he chooses.

First of all, long shot that Haarms ends up here. But the pitch and plan would be for him to start this season then Robbins the following when he gains eligibility. If by some stroke of luck the NCAA decision wheel falls in Robbins favor, you start them both. You just do, understanding that...

Not Gopher related, but notable B1G transfer news IMO. Was never a fan of this guy's demeanor...

He'd be a take but my gut feeling is Pitino knows Gophers will finish runner up to Bama and is operating as such. Btw tho, I LOVE how Miles projects for the college game. Tall lefty guard with superb ball-handling skills and fluid shot motion. Carved out a very nice role on an extremely loaded...

Absolutely, I think Peterson could be considered a big win on the transfer trail. You're talking someone who could legitimately start at the 1/2/3. Needs to refine his outside shot and put in some work with the S&C coach but he would be an upgrade over Willis and an average HM starter at worst...

All Things Class of 2020 Recruiting Thread

-Carton isn't remotely interested in Minnesota. -Don't discount Creighton in Walton's recruitment. He fits well in that system. -I'd take Murphy before Peterson and it's not close. That being said Peterson's more likely to pick Minnesota and like others have mentioned, he brings quite a bit of...

He's not playing anymore. Putting his efforts into engineering...very time consuming. Good for him!

    Interesting email from ticket office

Carton isn't willing to consider Minnesota, so not him. Wondering if it's going to be Ish El-Amin. Would be a transfer I could definitely get behind... Averaged ~14 ppg for Ball State this season. He's a good 3pt shooter, strong/physical defender, has experience. Maybe not Option A, but it...

    Transfer list possibilities, Spring 2020

Liam Robbins is a big get for this program if it ends up happening. I really think he'd be a 2 time all-B1G type guy. A second important piece is an impact guard/wing type. I'd like that to be a proficient 3-pt shooter, but I'll throw another name out there: Luther Muhammad. Modeling after...

STrib: Four-star forward Tray Jackson no longer committed to Gophers hoops

I'd go a step further. If he couldn't get minutes on that Mizzou team, I don't want him here taking up a scholarship that could be better used on a higher impact player. I think this is a case of HM to MM school if I've ever seen one. I think we've seen what wasting scholarships on marginal...

Carr would likely stay at PG with Carton handling duties when Carr gets a breather or is winded. Carton had lots of turnover issues when he ran point in long stretches this past season and Carr is the better distributor. Still a long shot, and we're caught up in hypotheticals here, but I'd...

Blue bloods aren't involved (yet) which definitely helps. DJ wants to go somewhere where he can start. While I'm sure even he hasn't begun to fully evaluate his options yet, have to think Creighton, Illinois, Nebraska, Oregon, and Seton Hall will be among serious considerations from him. It's...

I tend to agree with you when it comes to Sherfield and Udeze. To play devil's advocate, Udeze has shown he can be quite productive when given adequate PT. (He'd be averaging 13 and 8 per game if given the minutes Oturu garnered. That being said, there are things working against him... 1) He...

    Transfer list possibilities, Spring 2020

I don't think you can draw parallels between those 2 players. The Gophers have other needs to fill, PG not being one of them. You make an exception for star level talent like Carton and make it work if he wants to come here. Can the same be said to justify Sherfield? I could be wrong, but I...
