All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Yeah, he is having a really good game and probably one of his best of the season because it looks like he has been a bench guy getting like 15 minutes a game and averaging around 6 points on a good team. On a side note.....Purdue still looks really good but very different without Edey in the...

Zach Pyron or Drake Lindsey, who will be the Gophers' QB1 in 2025?

Lot of focus being put on Pyron and Lindsey but don't sleep on Wittke as well. Best case scenario, Drake lives up to the hype and seizes the starting gig but seems like it will be an open competition in the spring for sure and most likely the fall as well to find the best guy. My gut instinct...

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Just part of the new normal with college sports. Now we have to sit on pins and needles waiting on players to declare they are coming back. Gone are the days where you can just assume a player is coming back to the school they played for the year before if they still have eligibility......ahhh...

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

The difference between where Crawford finished compared to like 5th in the conference each year was a couple of yards per punt. Crawford was very comparable to most of the punters in the Big Ten....I don't get the desire to paint him as some massive problem. He wasn't special but he wasn't...

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

Fleck does a pretty good job getting teams ready to play in bowl games.

All Things 2024/25 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

One big difference for college and pro players is that you have more say in where you play in college. Outside of free agency in the NFL you are kind of stuck with whatever team holds your rights and where that team is located. So for a college player weather could absolutely be a factor which...

All Things 2024/25 College Football Transfer Portal Thread

Yeah, unfortunately transfer portal recruiting moves so fast that you have to get guys on campus as quickly as possible. I don't mind it though. If a kid is going to come here he has to be ready to handle the weather, if he can't then it would have been a bad fit anyway.

I agree that Twitter/X is often coded gobiligook but this one feels pretty straightforward.....he is physically Here on campus for his visit.... :)

Purdue TE Drew Biber commits to Gophers

Not only is it early in the portal season it is also just the first portal season as well. There will be another flurry of movement in the spring. Nothing at all to get concerned about at this point. We haven't had any major loses to date and have found a QB to provide depth and push our...

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

It is because people get annoyed by cliches but they rarely get offended by them. When you don't use them people find a way to nit-pick and get all bent out of shape.

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

Totally agree, they are getting hit way harder then we are to this point and that doesn't seem likely to change before the game. But we have no control over that so all we can do is play the game against whoever they have left. Unfortunate we won't get to see them at their best but it is what...

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

Yep....but it is a chance to watch more college football over the holidays and in early January.

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

We almost certainly won't be at full strength as well. I agree that it sucks, you would love to see teams at their best so that nobody has any reason to doubt the quality of the win. Just isn't how things work these days.

    Fleck vs Belichick

I know it feels like it as a fan but it isn't all just about money and greed. Yes that is a big part of it but take a guy like Koi for example. He could 1000% be making more money by leaving.

Va Tech fires DC, OL coach, strength coach

Still a legit opponent. This kind of stuff is becoming pretty commonplace these days.... All you can do is go out and play the game against whatever team they send out to face you. Both teams will be dealing with transfers and opt outs. In the end a win or loss vs. Virginia Tech in a bowl...

Drake Lindsey: Excited to run it back with @DTAthletes! Thank you to all of the fans who have continued to support my teammates and I.

He has a clear shot at winning the starting job and I'm guessing he doesn't lack for confidence in himself and his abilities. Hopefully he fully took advantage of this past year and learned everything he could from Brosmer in regards to how he reads defenses and processes information.

Kyle Shanahan revealed that De'Vondre Campbell didnt want to play in the 3rd quarter.

Will be interesting to see if this is the end for him or if he tries to keep playing. Has definitely had a solid 9 year career in the NFL, that is more than a lot of guys get. He may be at the point where he just doesn't have the fire for it anymore.

Any player that demands a guarantee to be the starter isn't a player that I want on the team.

Official 2025 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Disagree.....Crawford was the definition of average. He wasn't great by any means but he also wasn't nearly as bad as some here like to make him out to be.
