Yuck: Adding more teams to March Madness among recommendations by NCAA transformation committee

I'm for any rule that helps the Gophers and hurts the top teams. Period. I don't care about fairness or 'integrity of the sport' or anything...because there is no fairness or integrity to begin with.

Thank You! Coach Johnson for Your Success Plan Underway!

In all sports, it's always the same...win and the coach is a genius, lose and the coach is a bum. Period. It's always like that. Only about 10% of fans have the patience to actually look at the details and assess if a coach is making a good effort to build a team. The rest simply lash out...

Putting your 2022-23 expectations out there

McCarthy was right. Our government would lock us down permanently if they could get away with it. They're so disgusting that I don't even watch the news anymore...it's all lies & propaganda and a complete waste of time to even talk about. You won't see me on the political boards because the...

Putting your 2022-23 expectations out there

I won't name names. But the guy right above your posts is a Marquette fan. And the guy right above him...who just made a decent post...he might be a Minnesota fan (jury is still out) but he likes St. Thomas & Michigan State too.

    How to measure success

No, you don't. Almost nobody is talking about a rebuild. Almost nobody is talking about our freshmen or our recruits. Almost everybody is complaining that were losing right now. For instance, the guy I just quoted says it's a trainwreck...he analyzes everything about the current results with...

    How to measure success

But what you ignore is that Ben's first recruits are freshmen, and they're getting a lot of minutes already. And we have even better recruits in the next class.

    How to measure success

Yeah it's not easy to win when you're doing a ground-up rebuild and your best recruits aren't even on the team yet.

    How to measure success

Haskins was 2-16 & 4-14 with his first players as freshmen & sophomores. But they made the Sweet-16 as juniors. Next year Ben will have sophomores. I'm giving him until the year-after-next.

STrib: Johnson had the only Big Ten team with three freshmen averaging at least 20 minutes per game in the first 11 games.

I'm happy with Ben for now. I'm monitoring the play of our freshmen. And I'm monitoring recruiting.

Bob's post just assured us that every post in here realizes that we're rebuilding. So why do I have to keep explaining such basics??

Painter has 4 years of his high school recruiting classes developed throughout his team. Ben is just starting with his first freshmen class.

    How to measure success

The construction progress and architecture will be much easier when we have 2-3 recruiting classes on the team instead of just 1.

They're not as good when they have to play with brand new freshmen. Our roster management will be much easier when we have have 2-3 recruiting classes on the team instead of just 1.

Putting your 2022-23 expectations out there

I lose track...is it you or Weather-Guy who's the St. Thomas fan? Spaulding checked in yesterday as a Marquette fan. And who was the Michigan State fan again? I'll try to keep it straight from now on.

Purdue and most good teams have good junior & sophomore players too. That's what I want Ben to build here. Keep recruiting & developing year after year.

    How to measure success

What?? Almost none of the posts on here understand that we are on a rebuild.

    How to measure success

You actually agree with me. Battle & Garcia aren't complimented properly because they're playing with brand new freshmen. Like I said...this 'roster management' will correct itself when Ben's recruits are juniors & sophomores.
