Completely agree. It's unfair for this very reason.

How will we do with our portal additions?

Pretty good chance he made that at Louisville lol

How will we do with our portal additions?

You saw your chance with a name pun and decided "I'm gonna gopher it."

Take a deep breath, it’ll be okay.

I think Carrington and JOJ were a different situation. They believed they were better than their playing time would indicate. They both had good attributes. Carrington was a good defender, but no offense to speak of. JOJ had the ability to go snag rebounds and catch lobs (he was a key reason we...

    Kris K in the portal

That is ALOT of recruiting. We aren't the only school at our level hurt by the portal.

Former Waseca HS and NDSU 6-foot-10 big Andrew Morgan will visit the Gophers on Thursday

Read on Twitter that he's visiting Nebraska after us because we have his major and so do they

NIL and portal destroying college hoops

One of the sucky things about players leaving programs like ours, is that, no matter what, people are almost ALWAYS going to blame the coach first, whether it was on them or not. From what I've read, the guys that have left thought they could get more PT elsewhere or NIL and seemed to let it...

How will we do with our portal additions?

I think Ben seems to do a pretty good job at evaluating transfer talent. Not every one has worked out, but I feel he can do just as good as last year if not better.

Hmmm, did TheOSU make NCAAs? Poor Battle.

At least Stetson going to the tournament lol Only to be likely a sacrificial lamb to UConn. BTW, Treyton's Kobe tattoo is sick

College Basketball Transfer Portal Thread - 2024

Our biggest issue was lack of consistent play behind the starters, especially the guards. We got lucky with a guy like Hawkins who can play as much as he did last year. But we can't count on that and Mitchell playing as much as he did either. Christie too. They need consistent breathers. The...

    Gophers in the NIT!!

Definitely all three of them equally. Always gotta be somebody that tries to deflate accomplishments. We were picked to finish near the basement of the Big Ten and we end up playing in the NIT. Pretty damn proud of this team and CBJ.

Even with poor non-conference slate, 21 wins should get the Gophers a ticket to the Madness

They don't, but I have to imagine that the competitive losses to Purdue and Illinois have to mean something, but not a difference-maker. If they can the last 2 in this season and at least 2 in the BTT, we'd definitely have a good shot

***OFFICIAL PENN ST AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Ideally when the roster was set, I initially thought that was going to happen and be able to spell Hawkins and Carrington was going to start. But I think CBJ wanted as much ball-handeling as possible to start the game and eventually rolled with it. That and Mitchell started getting after it on...

***OFFICIAL PENN ST AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Next year when he adds some muscle, he's going to be very dangerous driving. You can see when he drives this year, that that added muscle would be very beneficial.

    Senior Day

It definitely seems like he was 100% authentic when he came here and said he wanted to help rebuild something. I would understand if he wanted to see where he's at, but I feel like he wants to be back next year. Him and CBJ have a really strong relationship
