I love the alignment, I know it's not the traditional "right way" to align a stadium, but the connection to campus is great and the skyline view is excellent. Imagine how closed off the stadium would feel if the side facing Williams/Mariucci was a big brick wall.

This is my only real gripe with Grimm. He describes the play well and is enthusiastic but complains all the time about the refs. It's off-putting and distracts from the game. Agree that it's much worse in basketball than football.

I guess it depends how you define "Prime Time". It's been great for me getting a general boilerplate or framework of something to write or code, saving tons of time typing and doing setup. It doesn't get you anything that's perfect and is easily swayed by a forceful prompt, but it can be useful.

I saw a game once many years ago where they had some mixup and the announcers weren't getting fed to the broadcast. It was just crowd noise, band, ref's mic, and sounds of the game. It was the best broadcast I ever watched.

Faking injury has been in football for a long time too. Players "cramping up" at the end of a game to stop the clock, kickers flailing about after being touched to get the roughing call. It doesn't payoff as much as in other sports to fake injury though. Soccer has a tremendous incentive for...

I have a lot of love for the band and think they do a ton of work and put in lots of time to support the athletic programs, and probably don't get the recognition or support they deserve. That being said, this lady is off her rocker.

Going 4 to a room was pretty standard for the band on Bowl Trips, perhaps things have changed over the years, but that's how it used to be.

Often there are events planned specifically around the bands. They're a huge part of the college gameday atmosphere.
