    Gopher radio in Iowa City?

A listener to the Iowa broadcast would wonder the score all afternoon, buddy boy, but surely know when the Hawks enter the CASE IH REDZONE!

    Iowa Rollcall

Here's the gameday parking page: https://hawkeyesports.com/footballparking/. The physical address is 141 Park Rd, Iowa City, IA 52242. I have never tailgated at the state fairgrounds, but imagine similarities as a shuttle runs to the stadium. It's about a 25 minute walk if you prefer to enjoy...

    Iowa Rollcall

What time are you arriving? The Hancher lot is free and you won’t wait 3 hours to leave. I’m unaware of any parking lot that would take 3 hours to leave.

    Iowa Lodging Recommendations

The Quad Cities: a fine example of Iowa hospitality, especially when it adds nearly 2 hours to the drive from MN.

Cedar Rapids is the best option at present. The DoubleTree offers plenty of options within walking distance. Don’t stay in Urbana.

    Week 5 Other Games Thread

Not through 5 weeks you haven’t. Previous high-water teams have not made games easy business like this year. Haven’t needed two blocked field goals against UNI or a 55 yard field goal to beat Pitt yet…but the magic seems to be there.

    PAC-ACC-BIG alliance announcement expected today

No, we don't. Relegate Iowa State to the MWC and force them to playing Iowa City if they want to continue the series.

    All Things Gopher Baseball

I was bummed when he entered the portal as he threw a fair amount of innings from the bullpen. Minnesota was among the finalists for SDSU transfer Adam Mazur. The Woodbury native was the Friday night started for the Jackrabbits and is currently throwing in the Cape this summer.

Ranking the loudest stadiums in the Big Ten (#8. TCF Bank Stadium)

I grew up going to half the Vikings home schedule at the Dome and have been an Iowa season ticket holder for half a decade. I think college football attracts a more affluent crowd with the academic tie to one’s team. My theory is certainly a theory, but I am surrounded by a loud, not drunken...

    All Things Gopher Baseball

Allow me to play the outside fan contrarian. Where does Coyle go this year or five years from now for the next coach? Is there an inside coach who Anderson has groomed or will it be an outside hire when the day comes?

ESPN: Five-star college basketball recruit Patrick Baldwin to play for father at Milwaukee over Duke, Virginia, Wisconsin

He will transfer his skills to the NBA after a year. He’s staying home. Staying home grants his dad some breathing room at UW—M.

    All Things Gopher Baseball

As an outsider, it seems the pitching staff has suffered recently. Anderson recruits really well but there’s little progression on the mound since McDevitt took over. High level talent but not much development once they arrive on campus.

Gustavus Taking Facilities to Next Level for DIII

You’re correct in your financing model but the industry standard at private D3s is to have greater than 50% of campaign dollars pledged before announcing a project. Most pledges will be in the 5 year time period with a few going 7-10 years. It certainly won’t be $2k/year per student.

Iowa gets $10 million gift; endows head coaching job

It’s budget relieving. Illinois, Northwestern, and Michigan also have endowed head football positions. Iowa also recently endowed the women’s basketball position. In total, $17 million dollars have been committed to endowed funds in support of Iowa Athletics. $850k in perpetual funding at the...

All Things 2021 NCAA College Basketball March Madness Tournament Thread

Agreed. As an Iowa fan who posts here when my kids go to bed, the only advantage is having played them once before. Iowa’s adjusted defense is significantly better the second time around.

Doogie: Coyle knows this can't go on. They (Coyle and Pitino) met on Friday.

I would offer the loudest discontent will come from those who don’t understand Richard isn’t paid by the taxpayers, but instead an independent athletic department.
