The Athletic: What are the most dangerous trap games for college football’s Top 25 teams? (23. Illinois - November 2 vs Minnesota)

It's more than a few at this point. The last time he was on the other sideline and lost to the Gophers was when he was an LB coach for Iowa in 2000.

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Twins Off-Season Thread

My 10 to 15 games each year went down to zero this year. Wasn't all related to payroll, but it sure didn't help. Short of someone like Walker Jenkins rocketing up to the majors, I'm not exactly brimming with excitement to go back at this point.

    "Simulating brandishing a weapon" penalty

PJ on his radio show made some sort of comment that they knew they'd need every bullet, every arrow, etc. to beat USC. I assume he'll be suspended for the remainder of the season

    USC = the new Nebraska?

I watched USC/Michigan and came away thinking that the Gophers could beat both squads. I quickly changed my tune after the 3rd quarter of Iowa, but flipped back after the 4th quarter at Michigan. Don't want to crap on the win, because it really was badly needed, but that's not a very good USC...

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Twins Off-Season Thread

No, he didn't. What he's suggesting is the relatively new buzzword, "competitive rebuild". I don't know about anyone else, but that's basically what I figured they were planning to do anyway. When I hear rebuild, to me that assumes you're fine with being terrible for a couple of years in...

Quarterback sneak. One thing I don't understand

I wonder how far away we are from a chip in the ball that pinpoints precise ball location on each play.

    That crowd really surprised me!

Odd to have about two months left in the regular season and only two home games left.

    "Simulating brandishing a weapon" penalty

On the new NCAA college football game, you have the option to celebrate after you score a TD. One of the default celebrations is the player simulating pulling an arrow of his back, then firing it into the crowd.

So do we love PJ again?

I could live with it if they didn't score on 4th and 1, and lost. If you're going to go down, go down swinging. If they kicked the field goal and won, I'd have understood, but wouldn't have liked it. If they kick and lost anyway, I'd still be filled with rage.

STrib: Jack Henderson is the Gophers’ big-play machine with a big, Cajun personality to match

Is Henderson hurt/in the doghouse? He did play at Michigan, but seemed like not as much. Didn't notice him tonight at all.

POST GAME THREAD: GOPHERS BEAT USC!!!

That came at the right time. The program badly needed a spark and they got it.
