Finding ways to not get it done has become a fine and cherished tradition for this program. Names and coaches change, but results stay the same. Might as well start hanging banners to celebrate the continued futility.

Don't set any expectations. This team, coach and the program can't handle them.

No power conference school embraces utter mediocrity in their revenue sports like Minnesota. It's so engrained and fully acceptable that it might as well become one of their marketing slogans: "Golden Gopher athletics: Where excellence isn't a thing."

Making that decision is one level of eff up. Defending it later on is a second level of eff up. Implying "it was just three points, so no biggie" is beyond eff up level stupidity. Totally ridiculous on so many levels.

Well, now that they've shown both how good and how bad they can be, I don't have any expectations. Why? Because just like virtually all Gopher teams (or Minnesota teams in general), they obviously can't handle high expectations of any kind. So, I no longer have any expectations for this team...

Sad part is that even through that mess, Purdue really hadn't taken much advantage. They're playing terrible as well. But we're being incompetent enough to let them have the edge. Beyond frustrating.
