    Returning Playas for 2024-25

If I couple more “bad news” with the idea that Roddy Gayle, wants to stay, but his NIL agent says he needs to leave Ohio State. That would sort of be good news. Then I’d have less to pay attention to, and thus more free time, less expense. I mean do I really care about a league of licorice...

    Returning Playas for 2024-25

Markets. The major I looked at was agricultural economics. It’s every bit as good as anything Carlson has to offer.

    Payne, Carrington, Ola-Joseph and Ihnen...

I think we all hope that. I really liked all 3 sophs. I am a bit upset/disappointed. I actually want Payne, Ola, and Carrington. I am way too loyal that way. Say sorry, make up, put in work, and I will gladly cheer just as loudly. Louder if that was the issue. Although, that kid from Cornell...

College Basketball Transfer Portal Thread - 2024

Roland Brooks generally does a fabulous job. I trust his assessment as someone that has put in the work. He clearly watches a ton of games. Although, everyone is of course somewhat biased. His take merits some additional consideration vs most of the rest of us.

    Payne, Carrington, Ola-Joseph and Ihnen...

I know it’s unlikely, but my take on Carrington was it was a, “confidence in the decision issue.” He can drive just fine physically. But there was always a slight hesitation. He can physically shoot, but there was always a slight hesitation. The coach in me says that he has to know he’s good...

Found on 247, but not yet anywhere else. I do like our odds. Since he was looking for school with his major. 1) we have it. 2) it is exceptional 3) the TC market is a monster spot for work in the field. Tons of both history and knowledge.

the one avenue we have the nets us an impact transfer is the lure of Garcia, Christie, etc. Remember Jerome Tangs KSU squad. Tang was quoted as that was all put together by his one player. Just went out and looked for guys willing to win with him.

Did you see his FG%? I bet he fearlessly gets to the rim. Just looking statistically, give me 3 guys that will play their role and play it well. With diverse skill sets. Those players win games. Those are the types that get you more from the team. Not saying your out of line. Big impact guys...

Payne in portal (UPDATED: Payne commits to Texas A&M)

It’s also dependent on the info he provided. It was quite limited though. nor would what I said be a reflection of character - simply youth. Essentially, it’d be chasing an ideal, that really doesn’t exist. And, missing an opportunity.

Payne in portal (UPDATED: Payne commits to Texas A&M)

This situation is where the new NCAA attenpt at written commitments would help. I wonderr if there is a standard communication put out by the NCAA detailing this and at least a generic recitation of scams that occurred that it was intended to prevent.

Payne in portal (UPDATED: Payne commits to Texas A&M)

Sure, but there already more in the portal than last year (I beleive, but based on memory). If that is true, that would mean an expected increase as there is 2/3 of the time left. That would mean likely less NIL would be needed (or offered), save for a few. I don’t think Payne meets that sure...

    Kris K in the portal

He never did in high school either. His Freshman year Marcus Travis was an all metro Gaurd, but I recall him playing. He led the team to the State Championship title game from 10-12 grade (lost his so yr to caledonia).

    Tyler Johnson

I’ve been trying to figure out how they credit since y’all were discussing this topic. I think he has 4 credited years. Inactive roster counts. And in Houston he signed in August and was released October 25th. And for the Rams last season it was the whole year, with 1 game. It is very...

If I was coaching I’d turn down NIL like this. It will hurt you.
