    Parity in P5

Is it different from the past? Seems like every year they barely hit the number they need to be bowl eligible.

    Quarterback

A couple things, Trey Lance and Carson Wentz, F.C.S. Don’t QB’s want to compete anymore? Seems like they just want to be anointed or something. There was a Minnesota High School kid, high ranked QB recruit a long time ago, maybe even the 90’s who went to Michigan when they were already loaded...

    Brian Murphy: P.J. Fleck's tone-deafness is ear-splitting

I guess I would like to know why, assuming the recruiting of balanced classes, where are the sophs and juniors in the defensive secondary? If they got beat out by true freshman or redshirt freshman or if the portaled out? I’m not enough of a student of the roster to know myself, I guess. Maybe...

    Quarterback

Galifanakis, love that. Absolutely right you are about once a quarter keepers, appears to be open multiple times a game, drives me nuts. The sliding drives me nuts as well, very few college qbs invoke the slide and the guy that’s rated lower than a hundred other QBs should be going for yards...

Former U running back Jim Carter passed away Thursday

First started listening to the games when Carter was playing. Barry Mayer, Jim Carter, and Craig Curry were the backfield. Still can hear Ray Christenson say “Curry under center“ before most plays. He played middle linebacker for the Packers for a long time. I don’t think he played defense for...

Let's slow down on the Fire PJ Chatter

Agreed at this point, however if next year starts out say 2-6, with a gut wrenching loss or 2, I say nothing is off the table.

STATE OF THE PROGRAM: Where is Gophers football right now?

There were also some National publications saying 5-7, of course I thought they were full of it. But the spectacular nature of NW, Ill, and Purdue losses and overall regression as a team make it unpalatable. Talking up the qb as a future draft pick was really a mistake, put pressure on the kid...

Describe the Gophers loss to Badgers in 1 sentence

The Fickell finger of fate filets Fleck.

1982 vs 2023. Which collapse was worse?

I remember listening to that 1982 game, at least bits and pieces. I thought they even jumped out to a nice lead in that game. See youngsters, this crap has been going on forever, I was 9 when they last tied for the title, didnt think it was a big deal at the time. The Vikings hired Bud in 1968...

Fleck needs to examine every facet of this program

Holy Smokes, that’s awesome, I don’t know that I agree with much, but I admire your optimism. Wait a minute Is your last name Fleck by chance, PJ is that you?

Fleck Post-Game Press Conference Videos: "We have to execute, that has to get better."

Reporter to Coach John Mckay; What do you think of your teams executtion? John; I’m all for it!!

Tied at halftime. Fumbled away a chance to take it to the wire. But not abysmal.

I think it was abysmal because Wisconsin is not very good. Today was the most they have scored in 2 months. There was definitely some abysmal tackling going on out there as well. I don’t really see much loss no matter who transfers.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Look Abysmal in Home Loss to Badgers

To recover from this disaster of a football season, and it was, there will have to be a large turnover in staff along with a transfer revolving door. The freshman recruiting classes have been substandard apparently, it’s not necessarily the record but how it was “achieved”. Bad losses to bad...

After Friday's 13-10 win at Nebraska, Kirk Ferentz was still upset about the invalid fair catch call on Cooper DeJean after replay (Oct. 21 vs. MN)

The luckiest coach on the face of this earth is complaining because the referees got it right, after getting it wrong. What a tool.

With realignment and NIL, what are reasonable expectations going forward?

i think the Gophers should compete similarly to what the last 5 years have been, modest but not unreasonable. The stupid thing is picking a conference champion when in any given year you will only play half the teams. These super conference’s do not work well for football with the limited number...

Strack: PJ Fleck Must Find Quarterback He Can Trust in Offseason

Seems like lots of people expected Nebraska to compete with OSU, Mich., PSU every year after the joined the conference, they are an afterthought now. I think USC and UCLA would have fit well in the Big Ten West, mostly overrated, probably more in the Iowa/Wisconsin class historically. The snow...

Week 13 Rivalry Week Other Games Thread

I wonder if Kirk F. apologizes to the opposing coach after the game, I mean they have a fantastic defense, but to keep getting the late game huge breaks is…….I know he coaches that way……who the hell else pulls that sh*t off week after week, year after year, truly amazing.
