Snapshot look at the College Football Playoff resumes

Definitely could've included Wazzu. I just figure they're too tied to Boise State, who wiped them 45-24.

Snapshot look at the College Football Playoff resumes

Buffs were the only team I really had trouble deciding which win to go with. Bison? @ 6-4 Texas Tech 5-4 Baylor? 5-4 Cincinnati? Texas Tech probably would've been the safer choice.

A look at opponents' winning percentage of various and sundry teams directly in the College Football playoff conversation, or on the periphery. I've also included "best win" and all losses. Week 1 brought us a Gonzaga master-class, another Villanova pratfall, sizzlin' Nick Martinelli, Miles Barnstable, and a troubling Gopher nail-biter

Week 1 Big Ten Power Rankings. I wil take on the impossible task of ordering 18 teams based on a couple games of data. Please, no wagering. 1 Ohio State (1-0) -- Youngstown State (Mon) 2 Illinois (2-0) -- Oakland (Thurs) 3 Purdue (2-0) -- Yale (Mon) 4 Indiana (2-0) -- South Carolina (Sat) 5...

Week 1 brought us a Gonzaga master-class, another Villanova pratfall, sizzlin' Nick Martinelli, Miles Barnstable, and a troubling Gopher nail-biter

As fate would have it, Huskers are one of the teams I haven't seen play (not even a few minutes). Illinois, Maryland, and the Badgers are the others.

Post-Week 11 Field of 12 Projection: SEC Up to 5 Bids, But Georgia Not One of 'Em

I agree. Bulldogs are 100% in if they win out. Ditto for Alabama. Tide far & away would have the best resume of any 2-loss team, not to mention several 1-loss teams.

Post-Week 11 Field of 12 Projection: SEC Up to 5 Bids, But Georgia Not One of 'Em

Yep. If I were a betting man I'd say Buffs will win out and get the Big XII automatic bid. However, I don't think they'd have a shot for an at-large with 3 losses. There's just too many SEC teams that would be taken ahead of them, despite Prime Time appeal.

By Buzz King -- @Fieldof68Freak on X A look at Week 1 of the college basketball season, starting with our weekly “Field of 68” projection. Please peruse and (hopefully) enjoy at your leisure. The projected automatic qualifier in a multiple-bid conference is noted with an *. When the NCAA...

Post-Week 11 Field of 12 Projection: SEC Up to 5 Bids, But Georgia Not One of 'Em

Automatic qualifiers/conference leaders are determined by "best conference record", hence 1-0 is better than 0-0, 2-0 is better than 1-0, etc. In the event of a tie for the conference lead (Big Ten, SEC), conference tiebreakers were used. Opponents' winning percentage is noted with each team's...

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

St. Thomas thumps Green Bay 90-76 on the road. Tommies in control the whole way, led at one point by 24. Tommies have less experience, but more athleticism this season. Miles Barnstable the latest Tommies D3 to D1 stud. Athletic kid, no fear, can shoot it.

Yep, we're up to 4 now. I'm tracking all non-Power 5 wins (yes, I'm including Gonzaga/WCC even through we all know Zags are basically a major) over Power 5 conferences. Plan on it being part of my weekly report through the non-conference part (November-December) of the schedule.

***OFFICIAL ORAL ROBERTS VS MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Solid opening night, though things clearly got stagnant when Garcia sat. I like Odukale, though that FT form needs a lot of work. He defends. ... he'll get a lot of playing time because of that. He and Rigsby provide above average athleticism on the wing. As others pointed out, it appears we...
