I agree. Darnold has been consistently bad over a large sample size. I'll take the under.

He can’t go 0-fer forever, Rocco probably feels like the odds are in his favor by this point.

I wouldn't write off Kepler yet, and this was the same point many wanted him gone last season. Outside of HRs which are down, his other numbers were much worse through this point last season. But then he became one of their best hitters the last two months of the season. I doubt he's in their...

I do understand usage rate. It also doesn't mean he's not a good distributor. He became a significantly better passer this season, especially passing out of tough situations, but he still has room for improvement. This is why I said he's growing into the PG position. There are 4 players with a...

We're not talking about usage rate, we're talking about Ant being a distributor, and he's one of the best ones the Wolves have. Whether you want to admit it or not, Ant is the Wolves primary PG for large stretches of the game, and he continues to grow into that role.

Ant's not a distributor? He led the team in assists during the playoffs and was 2nd during the regular season.

So you're worried about replacing the guys who played sparingly in the regular season, and didn't play in the playoffs? You're also being too literal with positions. Ant will continue to grow as the primary ball handler and initiator of the offense, just like SGA, Murray, etc have in their...

Why would they need Rob to play 15-18 minutes per night? The Wolves had an 8 man rotation last season and only Kyle isn't returning. They now have Dillingham, Shannon Jr, and Ingles to replace those minutes. You also make way too much about size being an issue. There are many good, wirey PGs...

    Twins First Half Poll

There's only one real answer here :cool02: Actually my real choice is Buxton staying healthy and hitting well. Happy to see it.

Clark is the same age as Ant and Shannon is a year older. Dillingham is only 19. He'll naturally fill out as he gets older. Shannon will compete with Ingles for Slo Mo's time on the court. Clark/Dillingham will battle it out for the Morris/McLaughlin leftover minutes. Hopefully the young guys...

It's his 3rd year and he hasn't been able to stay healthy longer than a month. He gives you nothing for 3/4 of the year and the Twins record is virtually the same when he plays compared to when he doesn't.

Prove where I said to trade him for prospects, which I never have. Lewis is the 'prospect' that should have been traded for a MLB player. Brooks Lee is a better 3B, and will pass him in MLB games played by early next season, even though Lewis got a 2 year head start.

All Things 2024 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Lee should definitely stay at 3B. He's better defensively there than Lewis is. Lewis should move to CF. He and Buxton can split between CF/DH. Then you're not eating up two positions with guys who can't stay healthy.

There was some fan outrage when Arraez was traded too. If you're running the team the way the fans want you to, then you're going to lose. And despite the outrage from this offseason, the Twins are 10 games better than they were at this point last season, despite playing in a much better...

He couldn't pass a physical after the 2nd ACL? That is extremely unlikely. Could he pass a physical today? That's a bigger question. I've been saying to trade him for at least a year now, to the ridicule of most on this board. He could have generated at minimum an Arraez like return last year...

He injured his oblique last year due to just running as well. He's just never going to stay healthy. He makes it around a month, and then hits the IL. Last year he played the month of June, then was injured on July 1. This year he played most of June, then gets injured July 2. This is why...

That's what it seemed like to me too. It's like the Denver series completely zapped them. They never had the same energy against the Mavs and were always a step slow. Once they got down in the series, they put together enough energy to win game 4, and then had nothing left last night...

Ant is a true #1, saying he's not is an absurd take. He's only 22, and even though he hasn't been as good this series because Dallas is doing everything they can to take him out, he's still their leading scorer and had a borderline triple doubles in multiple games this series. Plus he's...

Ant is still playing significantly better than KAT in this series. And he's 22. KAT is 28. Ant spent a lot of time guarding Luka last game and Luka had his worst game of the series. KAT has been getting abused by Gafford and a 20 year old rookie in Lively until Lively got injured. You and...
