The offensive play calling was creative, especially in the first half. To have two running backs hit the 100 yd mark in the same game is amazing. Tanner didn’t look great, but he looked comfortable making throws. I’m looking forward to the 2022 season.
28 states have NIL laws for student athletes. Minnesota doesn’t have an NIL law. Compared to other states, Mississippi universities are allowed to place limitations on when Mississippi student athletes can participate in endorsement-related activities.
Conflict of interest between school vs athlete. For instance, a player signs a shoe/apparel contract with Adidas but playing with a Nike endorsed college. Not sure if Minnesota passed the law, but a couple states did.
There will be loopholes to the rules. Athletes can’t be sponsored by an apparel company. However, Nike created an NIL company called Division Street to “help” the University of Oregon athletes.
Smart move for Lincoln Riley. What sounds better to a recruit. Sign a NIL in Los Angeles or Norman? Riley will legally recreate the 2003-2005 USC teams.
First off, GO GOPHERS!
Not sure if anyone caught this at the game, but Tanner didn’t walk out for Senior day. Does that mean he will use his Covid year and come back? If so, yes please!
Maybe 1 or 2 losses, but Gonzaga is 12-0 vs. ranked opponents. The WCC isn’t the greatest, but they played a tough non conference schedule and beat a good BYU team three times.
Personally, I don’t want to see Minnesota vs Wisconsin until both teams are healthy. I give credit to the Gophers playing against Purdue, but 22 players out is a tough feat to field a squad.
