All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

I’m just not sure who you make interim from this current staff. 2026 would be a lost season regardless as PJ leaving would come with a mass exodus but it would definitely be interesting. Somebody is getting screwed big time by the Michigan hire unless they go interim, hope it’s not us.

All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

I doubt it'll happen but it would be interesting to know who would be on Coyle's list if Fleck were to get the Michigan offer. Nick Rallis would probably be up there I would think. Probably would go the coordinator route as there's not a great deal of appealing options at this point in the cycle.

    Taison Chatman

For one, it’s going to be a collective effort replacing Tyson. There’s just not a scenario where it’s one in and one out, smooth sailing. The injuries are definitely reason for pause on Chatman but I do think he’s a much better player than he’s been allowed to show at OSU.

    Taison Chatman

A bucket getter isn’t necessarily someone who hunts their shot. I think similar to Chatman, Tyson is a bucket getter but he does so in the flow of the offense. What I think separates someone like Taison is his tremendous feel for the game, which is where I think calling him a combo guard makes...

    Taison Chatman

He’s had back to back DNP-CDs after getting brought in against Pitt and committing three fouls in less than a minute which is quite an accomplishment. Saw he tore up his knee in a summer workout that cost him his second season, could still be struggling with that. I wouldn’t be surprised if...

Woo hoo! What a win, what a shocker lol. We’re top of the conference!

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS STANFORD THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The injuries have been a killer but as others have mentioned, guard play is going to carry you particularly in a system like this and we have parts that are just not at the level, Willis in particular has been really disappointing. While Durkin is going to be Waldo on defense all season, it was...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS STANFORD THANKSGIVING TOURNAMENT IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

A great stretch of defense in the last 5-6 minutes, just gotta get on the glass. Some good minutes out of Reynolds, offense getting into more of a flow.

Willis picking up his second may be a blessing in disguise with the way he’s started this one.

If Taylor is ready for the Ducks, do we play him or do we save him for "winnable" games?

You’re paying him how much? He needs to play as many games as possible.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Pretty steep talent gap which I feared. Its still very early in the season and guys will grow into their roles, think the next two games are key heading into a tricky one against San Francisco, need to find some secondary scoring from somewhere. I'm still hopeful on Willis as a slasher/creator...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Going better than I thought, Mizzou throwing that zone at us really got the offense out of rhythm but encouraged by how we’ve been rebounding as a team, bodes well moving forward. Need more from Willis as a creator in the second half, gonna need Tyson to get hot to pull this one out.

It helps a lot that they have a football coach instead of a life coach.

    CHARLIE JILEK Flips

Meh, they’ve been very good at pumping guys into the NFL annually so class ranking kinda feels irrelevant. While the talent level could and needs to go up (this current class and last year’s are steps in the right direction) to breakthrough into the playoff, I actually think the approach on game...

Oregon Ducks Head Coach Dan Lanning speaks on Charlie Kirk and America’s Current State

The way this has been forced into the sports world has been really weird. Can’t say I care about what a football coach thinks of the current state of the country.

Fleck Postgame: “Everything that possibly could go wrong, went wrong. That falls on the head football coach”

When Fleck says “it falls on me” it really does feel empty doesn’t it? I think a lot of us like the direction the program is heading from a development and overall talent standpoint but games like last night are the type where you wonder whether Fleck can really graduate from being a 7-8 win...

P.J. Fleck Post Practice Press Conference (August 12th)

Just really proud of what PJ stands for and the type of young men he’s playing a part in developing. The program is very much a reflection of everything he said it would be from early on and I think we’re getting to a point of sustaining how competitive we can be with the top two tiers in the...

    Ross to UConn

His talent ID was very good and a fair few guys he got in on early have turned out to be great players/some NBA guys. Had Ryan Dunn on campus before he went to Virginia, Danny Wolf visited if I remember, obviously Cam Christie was quite the pull, won’t be a popular opinion but Ben might have...

NIKO Has Raised More NIL Money than ALL of Last Year

Bigger question will be whether he can sustain after what is looking like it's going to be a rough transition year.

Will you still be invested at the same level of fandom for men’s college hoops in the future as you are currently, based on all the changes now??

If you’re on a fan forums you’re already someone who follows things closer than the majority of people. If the Gophers get to be competitive again, start getting some votes for the top 25, we’re all going to be back to following any and everything. Winning cures all, I know I wouldn’t care 😅
