All Things Isaac Asuma Recruitment Thread (Class of 2024, Minnesota's Top In-State Target)

Also, how was Dennis Evans ranked? These rankings mean next to nothing.

All Things Isaac Asuma Recruitment Thread (Class of 2024, Minnesota's Top In-State Target)

Didn’t say that. I always said he was a shooting guard, which he is. Asuma doesn’t have elite athleticism, that isn’t really a knock. He is still a fine player, and a good recruit. But he isn’t a speedster.

All Things Isaac Asuma Recruitment Thread (Class of 2024, Minnesota's Top In-State Target)

What that video tells me is that he is a 2 guard or a small forward. He isn’t athletic (to clarify…quick or fast) enough to be a pg on a very good college team.

If one is really good at recruiting MN and WI…do you have to recruit outside of those states?

    What would RockRaven say?

Cam’s wingspan has grown in the last few weeks, and it will allow him to shoot over all defenders and essentially do finger rolls from the three point line (with normal form).

    Baylor's New Arena Opens tonight

Baylor, along with Texas, and many other schools who are opening new arenas understand that smaller capacity arenas with many new amenities are much better than relics with many more seats that are empty 90% of the time. Baylor and Texas could easily sell many more tickets, but they want a...

Shooter: Minnesota, conceptually, has considered either renovating Williams Arena or building a new arena in the parking lots north of arena

I bet the Moody Center would now cost $500m if you adjust for inflation and mortgage rates. The longer this drags out, the more painful it will be.

What's This? Gonzaga Absent from Field of 68 Projection

When looking at the talent on their roster this year, compared to the last 6 years (which had a bunch of NBA players), they have very little talent…it’s odd watching them now.

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

These wins against Sisters of the Poor are almost the equivalent of NDSU blasting that team by 94 points (not quite that bad…but almost). No one cares that we are killing these teams, they are horrible. I tuned in last night for maybe a few minutes and it was roughly 48-43…that should never be a...

***OFFICIAL BALL STATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I have zero interest in these games, especially when on BTN+. How was attendance at the barn? Looking forward to conference play.

SEC Leads Week #6 Field of 68 Projection with 9 Bids; Big XII Close Behind with 8

Getting beat by them is the equivalent of getting beat by a Texas / Baylor (some team that will finish 2nd or 3rd behind Kansas most likely in the B12). San Fran is a power program we were told.

Reusse: Foolish for Gophers to continue avoiding St. Thomas hoops rivalry

Rhode starts as a true sophomore for one of the best teams in the country. He will have low stats as the a defensive team which doesn’t score much…everyone knows this is their strength…and their weakness, has been for years

Reusse: Foolish for Gophers to continue avoiding St. Thomas hoops rivalry

How has JOJ played against any real teams (I give him credit for a good game against Nebraska, but they are still a bad P5 team) - against San Fran, Ohio State and MIZZOU he put up *8,4,7 points in no particular order* - no team is clamoring for that kind of low level production. These other...

Reusse: Foolish for Gophers to continue avoiding St. Thomas hoops rivalry

There is a difference in not keeping your best, and having no one interested in your players. Garcia would’ve been off internet but would’ve had to sit out (since he transfers all the time). Payne will be on the watch this year. Everyone else, meh.

Reusse: Foolish for Gophers to continue avoiding St. Thomas hoops rivalry

I don’t think you know how economics, especially how media markets and how media money is driving these decisions. UST is in the Twin Cities media market (#15 in the US), Dayton is outside of the Cincinnati media market (#37)… it isn’t even a comparison of what media market would be more...
