Tough second half but I am VERY optimistic about the future of the program. We ran into a talented team that got red hot in the second half. 60%FG and 50% on 3s is hard to contend with against a good team. We broke a little for about 3-5 minutes there and they made everything in that stretch...

We are getting the open looks- just not hitting. 3-15 on threes. Shoot better in the 2nd and we can win. Defense has been solid.

Medved playing depth- Shinholster, Grove, both getting a little run- 9 deep without Omot.

Win or lose- this looks like real basketball. We are aggressive, not scared and we know what we are doing. Love it.

The one bad stat in this otherwise very well played game by us: We got our shot blocked 9 times. That could be the biggest problem in Big Ten play- finishing against athletic bigs.

The first rule of judging how we did against a bad team is: Did we pound them? We did. I always worry about how good you are if you don't bully bad teams.

Again- this is Alcorn State- but could last year's team do this to another team? They didn't.

Cade Tyson is 0-2 on threes and still playing great with 16 points. The kid is more than just a sniper he's an all around ballplayer. We'll see if he can translate this against better competition but so far, very impressive.
