How do the Golden Gophers match up with the Hawkeyes?

Ok. I'm not arguing with you. You didn't read what I said. You are being obtuse and in a different universe. I'm not talking about passing more than running. I'm talking about passing more than they usually did against Iowa (as your research backs up, "dude"). And, I am talking about the...

How do the Golden Gophers match up with the Hawkeyes?

Or, hear me out....maybe, just maybe, the freshman QB in 2021 gets RPO chance and finds a guy like say, oh, Lemeke Brockington, for a 44-yard touchdown and we beat the hated Hawkeyes. No one seemed to complain when he did that in Madison. No was was saying we should run more in that game...

How do the Golden Gophers match up with the Hawkeyes?

First of all, obviously I know you can find documentation and obviously I didn't intentionally lie. For clarification: I said: "in 2019 we were down 20-3 early 2nd quarter so there were more passes. Passing brought us back to almost win the game. In 2020, we were down 14-0 at half, so more...

How do the Golden Gophers match up with the Hawkeyes?

Intentionally lying. I had no idea you would be able to find documentation of the game. Damn.

How do the Golden Gophers match up with the Hawkeyes?

Well, in 2019 we were down 20-3 early 2nd quarter, so there were more passes. Passing brought us back to almost win the game. In 2020, we were 14-0 at half, so more passes. In close games, we have absolutely not passed enough.

    Peacock

Well, I suppose the Big Ten could put all the games on the BTN overflow channels or on BTN+ all at the same time. But, then they won't get those big checks from FOX and CBS. They like the checks.

    Peacock

So wait until the last week of the football season for a deal and miss all the games? I suppose waiting until Black Friday works if you only want to watch Big Ten hoops.

    Peacock

There are 18 Big Ten football games during opening non-conference weekend. How would you propose getting all 18 games on one platform?

    Peacock

Xfinity and Peacock are owned by the same company. I believe part of the strategy is Xfinity customers get Peacock as part of their cable package to get a "base" of viewers to help with ad rates. Then everyone else pays.

$200: the final straw for this Gopher alum & lifelong fan

Not sure if it is still going, but there was/is a student fee incorporated to help pay for the new stadium, too. I think it was/is $25/year.

Reusse: Legend of LeCaptain crosses state borders, into Gophers football

He will need to live well past 100 years old to set that type of record.

    Fleck's bad losses at MN

I think you mean 2022 vs. Purdue. We were 4-0 in 2022. Purdue ended up winning the Big Ten West that year, so the loss was not as bad as we thought at the time. Mo Ibrahim was a game-time decision and did not play in that game. Clearly, would have been a different game had he played, but no...

    Fleck's bad losses at MN

I think the worst loss of the Fleck era was 2021 Bowling Green. After that, I put three 2023 losses next in line: @Northwestern (terrible blown lead) Illinois (terrible late game melt down) @Purdue (one of the few times lack of effort and will was apparent in a Fleck-coached team) Then...

    Fleck's bad losses at MN

You and about 200 others (including me) watched that game. Total. Including Northwestern fans. Agree with everything you said.

Wow an end of an era on #Gophers campus as Annie’s Parlour closed after more than 50 years! Who has great memories going there while in Dinkytown?

The business model combined with location just wasn't going to be sustainable. $16 cheeseburgers and $10 malts/shakes just won't be a popular option on a campus. I loved their food, but it was just too pricey to eat there a lot. And, yes, I know, its pricey everywhere. But, college campus...

Kirk Ferentz’s take on college’s new era may surprise you ahead of 27th Iowa season

His new contract specifically says he cannot leave Illinois for another Big Ten job. Not sure he'd go anyway. He's from Illinois and seems to have it going there okay.

Kirk Ferentz’s take on college’s new era may surprise you ahead of 27th Iowa season

Ferentz has won more than 9 games in more than a third of his seasons over the past 23 seasons. And he's won a Big Ten title or a Big Ten division title in more than 20% of his seasons over the past 23 years. He has won less than 6 games once in the past 24 seasons. There is more than a 51%...

    ROMAN VOSS TO MINNESOTA!

You might be thinking of Petersohn. We view Petersohn as a LB, Penn State views him as a TE. Gophers have been after Voss as a TE from the get go.

    Gophers 2025-26 non-con schedule news

Co-worker of mine was at the Dunkers breakfast today where Niko apparentely spoke. Niko said they are looking to add a neutral game in Sioux Falls at the Pentagon for the coming year. Sorry, if that's already been mentioned. I had not heard it before.
