    Gopher portal visits and signings

If the Big 10 and SEC came to an agreement, it would essentially lock it all up (from the "owners" side). Those universities could also build their own tournament (think like NFC/AFC). Players could still go Big 12 schools, ACC schools, etc., but that would be like joining the World Football...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I don't see what these things have to do with each other. No one is arguing that Sanders isn't happy about this undeserved gift being handed to him. We all assume he is probably elated (we all would be). The discussion here is just how undeserving he is or what a sham the Pro Bowl has turned...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I only used those folks because they are clearly not Pro Bowlers and even they deserved it more than Shadeur. They were all better than Sanders in every single category (completion percentage, TD:Int, YPA, etc.). Shadeur was legitimately bad this year. Hell, Dillon Gabriel's numbers were better...

Who's going to be the jersey sponsor?

He didn't explain the joke. He just said it was a joke. You should pretend to be a reader next time.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

There has to be more to this story, I am a Shadeur defender, but they had to have asked a ton of other guys who declined. Shadeur was considerably worse than JJ McCarthy. Trevor Lawrence, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Ward and even Joe Burrow has to have turned it down. Guys like Tua, Flacco, and Geno...

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

Agreed. There would have to be some incentive for the conferences to work together or else you could hop conferences. We see this in professional sports.

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

It's hard to imagine how it looks but maybe the conferences?

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

Agreed. Whether or not a NIL deal produces immediate ROI for these private entities is pointless. You are free to make deals - good or bad.

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

If it's mutually agreed upon (via CBA), I agree. I can't really envision how a CBA really looks though. Until then, the courts have routinely ruled that NCAA rules on eligibility are unreasonable restraints on trade.

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

I believe the court ruled that he cannot play/enroll anywhere else until Duke's request for an injunction. It's not specific to Miami and the judge did not rule on the merits, he just laid out the procedural next steps.

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

The difference is that NFL contracts are part of a CBA.

Hey legal guys, please weigh in on Darian Mensah

Specific performance is almost never appropriate for a personal services contract. It usually only makes sense for things like real estate transactions or purchases of art. Courts, generally, are asked to put a monetary value everything (think like wrongful death, bodily harm), so they tend to...

    Adding guys mid season

I'm not trying to bog this down thread down, but you could certainly make that argument. For judges, it's not only actual conflict of interest, it's also the impression of a conflict. That said, for some folks, it might be a bridge too far to consider every judge who donates to the a school as...

    Adding guys mid season

I'd love to take every opportunity to bash the NCAA, but I'm not sure what they can really do.

    Adding guys mid season

At this point, I have no idea.

    Adding guys mid season

From a legal standpoint, I can't think of a difference between the G League, Europe, or the NBA. I just can't squint and see what would stop someone like Rob Dillingham or Leonard Miller from returning to college and playing.

Predicting the next Indiana: These 3 teams could unexpectedly conquer the CFP (Minnesota)

But despite shouldering the weight of the world, you still have found the strength to comment on other people's reaction to said schmuck.

    One score games

Don't show this to Paul Finebaum, he'll start making a case for Arkansas to be in the CFP. "Three or four kicks here and that's a national championship team. Could you say that about a team from the ACC?"

Will Fleck learn from watching Cignetti's aggressive play calls and creativity?

Indiana was a very good team and THEN they got Mendoza. They had a terrific offense last year with Kurtis Rourke. In fact, Rourke's success with Cignetti played a huge role in Mendoza considering Indiana. The 2024 team averaged 41.3 points per game and Rourke was one of the best QBs in the Big...
