The wolves made the Cavs look like NBA champs last night. Given the previous game and the Spurs game tonight, it was a predictable outcome. I hope the wolves are ready to go tonight.

They had two excellent runs during the game, including the one you referenced. The rest of the night they were unfocused. Agree that tomorrow will be interesting.

I was at the game last night. I was actually more impressed by Cleveland then the wolves. Cleveland has talent, depth and they move the ball. The wolves were super casual and basically tried to give the game away. For most of the game Ant and Julius (esp Julius) took turns dribbling the air...

***OFFICIAL NATIONALLY RANKED IOWA AT MINNESOTA RIVALRY GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Does anybody know if any of the injured players are coming back this year? Part of the reason for Iowa's late run was the gophers were gassed. Having only seven playable guys is not sustainable.

Am I seeing things or is Rudy looking kind of, sort of, almost.....athletic lately??

The gophers won the game on back door cuts and at the FT line. Shocking.

    Arena Financing

It looks like the new market for stadium/arena financing has been established in Kansas City. The Chiefs 40% “contribution” will presumably come from the same sources as the Vikings: PSL’s and the NFL’s loan non repayment program. The Chiefs’ annual rent will actually go to their own r/m expense...

Ogie, What do you think about the rumors that Burrow wants out of Cincy and that this might be one of his preferred landing spots? What do you think it would take to get him? Pie in the sky?

I checked on AI (FWIW) and the standard fine for getting tossed and failing to leave in a timely manner is $35K. The commish can bump it to $50K if he sees fit or $50K if the coach won't leave at all. It suggests that Finchy and Ademan's fines were pretty standard. What you are implying (I...

    Mpls tribune

True, but it's very, very fragmented. Newspapers had a broad audience and, for a long time, viewed maximizing profits as secondary.

Basically, a big drop off after Naz. OKC has gone 25-3 this year with one of the highest injury rates in the league.

If you want great coverage of the pro sports teams, try The Athletic. Unfortunately, they provide minimal coverage of the gophers. The strib was never a great paper but at least the sports section was ok. Now it's all crap.

On one night on their home on the second night of an OKC btb when they were already 24-2. The wolves don't have the talent and depth to run with those guys. Neither does anybody else.

It's almost as if Randle is competing against Ant instead of the other team. He appears to be fighting the pecking order. I think part of the reason they lost to Memphis (whose record is much better without Ja this year) is Randle decided to be The Man. He played a lot of one on three with a...

I'd love to have 26 year old Giannis. Giving up the personnel to make a deal work for 31 year old Giannis with his huge contract and his 60 games a year body would be a massive mistake. They need a reasonably decent pg.

I almost turned it off heading into the fourth because I'd read this script before. Then I almost turned it off when the dubs made their run after the wolves went up by twelve with six minutes left because I'd read this script before. Stayed with it and it was a pleasure not to see this team...
