    There are several stages to a "turnaround" The one I'm interested in is the one where the Gophers are top 10 in the pre-season poll and stay there for several years. So to answer your question, we aren't there yet.

    I know there has been considerable deliberation on how to speed up the game over the years. With TV controlling so much now and its importance, I don't see much being done there, but here's an idea... Stopping the clock after every incomplete pass is and has been an important part if the game...

    I'm always interested in hearing from everyone what they think the first play from scrimmage and first score will be. I believe first offensive play will be Rodney Smith off tackle, right side for a gain of about 7 or 8 yards. It will set the tone right off the bat and the Gophers will cruise...
