Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

I didn't miss it; I just think it's misleading because Kaliakmanis has played more games than many QBs. Yards per game tells the story a little better than total yards. And even that can be misleading; for example, technically Lindsey played in the Northwestern State game, but he played less...

Fleck: “We were 1-0 in the bye week. We used it perfectly. Whether that’s fundamentals, details, techniques, reflection, self-scouting..."

However you choose to consume the coach's quotes — whether it's by reading, listening or watching — I think it's worth considering the possibility of ignoring it if it's going to tire or annoy or trigger you. To me, all coaches sound remarkably similar. They all have slogans, they all use coach...

Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

According to the "Know Your Opponent" thread, Kaliakmanis is 15th in yards per game.

Fleck: “We were 1-0 in the bye week. We used it perfectly. Whether that’s fundamentals, details, techniques, reflection, self-scouting..."

You can't? Sure you can. He's pleased with how the team responded to a disappointing loss, and he's happy with the way in which they are preparing for the upcoming game. This really isn't all that controversial, is it?

Fleck: “We were 1-0 in the bye week. We used it perfectly. Whether that’s fundamentals, details, techniques, reflection, self-scouting..."

Exactly. And if Fleck had stated it in that way, they'd be complaining about him speaking in cliches.

Former #Badgers HC Barry Alvarez RIPS Badger “fans”, calls them “spoiled rotten” and more! This is so fun!!!

I've noticed the same thing. Some are simply trolls, obviously. But I have begun to think that there might be a subset of fans who — without realizing it — actually enjoy kvetching and complaining, for it's own sake.

Former #Badgers HC Barry Alvarez RIPS Badger “fans”, calls them “spoiled rotten” and more! This is so fun!!!

The same fans who screamed for Chryst's head (in search of excellence) are now screaming for Fickell's head — in search of excellence. Hmmmm... Is it just me, or is the Wisconsin program actually getting farther and farther away from 'excellence' each time they change coaches? Somewhere, Bo...

Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

Lindsey went 8 for 9 for 139 yards and 1 TD vs. Northwestern State. There was really no need for him to play much in that game. He certainly would have padded his stats had he continued. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/gamelog/_/id/5144959/drake-lindsey

Kaliakmanis leads the nation in passing yards (1150).

In what... total yards passing? Passing yards per game? Have you a link? The reason I ask, according to B1G stats he has 287.5 yards per game. That's pretty good, but I'd be shocked if it was 10th in the entire country. Athan has played four games; many QBs have played only 3. Drake Lindsey...

???????????????????? According to the B1G site stats, he doesn't lead the B1G, much less the nation. https://bigten.org/fb/stats/?section=passing

If the owners refuse to even try to field a competitive team, does it even matter who the manager is? If the Pohlads are as money-grubbing as they appear to be, then surely Rocco really hasn't been the main problem.

Apparently, it doesn't apply to any other situations beyond today's game. Well, I can see why you wouldn't want to do so.

McCarthy started only 28 games at Michigan. He is younger, in many senses of that word, than many NFL rookies. I think he has a bright future, but he has looked (understandably) overwhelmed as a starter for the Vikings. He might not be ready yet.

Historically speaking, how many 22-year old QBs who were playing in their first full NFL season have played well enough to lead their team to the playoffs?

Any QB who has a solid defense and a productive running game has that benefit. Does that mean those QBs are not as good as their own stats make them appear to be?

Well, his QB rating is artificially inflated. We bought low, so maybe we could sell high!
