All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I think non-playoff teams are capped at 18? I could be wrong there. Since you keep ducking it, I'll just assume you're avoiding having to admit being wrong before about being so nonchalant towards the Vikings slipping in the draft order.

Since you didn't include a link and since I don't know if you have the authority to make this statement (maybe you are a neuroscientist yourself?), I asked ChatGPT. I'll leave the full detail below, but the TL;DR is: I grant you the point on this minor technical clarification, but my greater...

All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I did move the goalposts, about 1mm. Enjoy that victory, I expect to see you dancing naked in the street. :) Of course, I did also still completely blow up your point of bringing it up without any further context as a way to try to bash the Wilfs (let's be honest, that's your fetish) and...

Here is TxTech billionaire walking through blueprint for how they bought their way into the national spotlight. This is the new college football.

ESPN is in bed with the SEC The SEC wants to have completely open, unregulated NIL collectives, because they know almost no other programs in the country can compete with how dog rabid, unhinged their fanbases are about college football and thus how willing they are to crowdfund such...

I have no idea what a ban bet is. If you're offering to voluntarily not post in this thread for some amount of time when Rodgers and the Steelers beat the Ravens in Pittsburgh this week, that's of no value or interest to me. Post as much or as little as you like. If I don't like one of your...

Nothing I can see in either of those posts provides any evidence that the Wilfs forced Darnold to be released in favor of playing McCarthy.

    How To Fix College Football

At the end of the day, it will be almost impossible to prove or even get solid reasoning about, because the two things are so tightly coupled in the current system. Players on college sports rosters are typical undergrade aged students at the school. About as tightly coupled as you can get...

    How To Fix College Football

One of the dumbest?? That's harsh man :( I guess it was interesting (or appalling) enough that you still felt the need to interject your opinion on the matter into a conversation between two others that didn't concern you. :) "If the G league guys were in college classes would they all of a...

Gophers are expected to hire Stanford defensive coordinator Bobby April as its new rush ends coach.

Perhaps. What is odd is that for absolutely nothing, it apparently irritates the heck out of a few posters!

It's a minor annoyance, is all. As you often tell others: no one forced you to read it, or comment on it

Don't get me wrong, young adults to me these days are weird. :) Bah humbug

Gophers are expected to hire Stanford defensive coordinator Bobby April as its new rush ends coach.

Huh? None of my posts in this thread was ever challenging the idea of having two DL coaches. That is not at all the point I'm challenging. I'm only talking about having the second coach be called a "Rush Ends coach" instead of a OLB coach or DE coach.

Agreed, and at the end of the day this is what wins the point. (Would any player actually admit it? Well anyway)

Gophers are expected to hire Stanford defensive coordinator Bobby April as its new rush ends coach.

Dang, you got me. Indeed, the guy that helped Fleck install a "Rush ends coach", Rossi, took that term with him to Michigan State. That for sure proves that it isn't just a Fleck-ism. Dead to rights How about any of the other (co-)defensive coordinators that Fleck had the past few years...

Some guy, you are a smart guy, that I have no doubt after reading a lot of your posts. You've likely forgotten more about football than I know. So, I have no doubt that you'll immediately be able to point me to which NFL teams employ a "Rush Ends coach" on their staffs. :)

I think you're reaching just a bit there, my friend. Because I made a few posts? Jeez, come on

    Michigan fires Moore

These days, perhaps it is even less of a problem. Kids might only care about how many zeros are beyond the proposal, when the coach comes to visit. And it's not like the head coach is actually going to be coaching your position group. Or in the case of Whittingham, I believe, even calling the...

This!! Hoping with the House settlement (money coming directly from the athletic departments, now) we can start seeing some FOIA filings on this stuff.
